Glad to hear things worked out for you. I ALWAYS get the same response from my dealer. Unfortunately there are some around that act like dealers from the "Big 3" .

They also took care of me as well. New motor at 3k miles due to camshaft failure. I also got a 7 yr/100k mile platinum warranty, 1 lease payment made by them, $150 gift card, free new car rental while in service, and great customer service as well. After i told them of my previous 13 toyota vehicles owned since 1988, they treated me better. Also the truck has been flawless ever since the repair, so they must have did the job right.
Koodos to everyone on this site that made the above happen for me.
Good to hear you got good service but let's not correlate the word "service" with Toyota Corporate, unless you filed a direct complaint with Toyota Corporate. The service dept was horrific with my truck issues. They actually installed a piece incorrectly when they had to take the interior a part but I'd rather leave it in its current state than have them break something else. The truck was missing parts, dash rattles like crazy after they had to remove it. Initially they left the truck with a broken part and just hoped I'd never figure it out. You can hear a whistling in the cabin at highway speeds but the techs say it's normal. The service department is lucky I'm not crazy.

Dude, you need to call corporate Toyota about this. Get a regional manager to oversee your problem. Right now even Toyota is losing money and I think they would bend over backwards to keep a customer.

what is this so called rumble strip every1 is talking about?
It's the same feeling/noise you would get from going over a rumble strip. Mine wasn't terrible, but you could definitely feel it between 2-3 gears in the 35-45 mph range with slower accelerations. Some 07's had this problem and apparently some 08's too, like mine. Early build 08's are still prone to this problem. More than likely, if you are experiencing the 'rumble strip' behavior there's a good chance it's the torque converter.

Agreed, did not deal with corporate, just my local Toyota dealership. Good point. Sorry about your luck.

I do have the sinking dash issue though.
How did they fix that for you?
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hoping for a conversation that started with Mr. ********** we would like to offer you a FREE platinum warranty for the troubles you incurred, yadda...yadda....yadda. But, I did get a free tank of gas and a wash on the house....

The sinking dash issue was corrected with a hidden dash bracket, which I would of done, but figured since it was already in there.....
