Default Tundras with HID/Xenon lights!

I am considering a HID kit for the lowbeams on my 07 RCSB with stock headlamp assemblies. I have seen a few Tundras around town with HIDs and was wondering how well they project on the road. I don't have the money to retrofit projector lenses into my headlamps. I want to get a very white HID kit. I have bluish white bulbs in right now and I am sick of them.

My question for Tundra owners who have HID lowbeams installed on the truck with factory headlamp assemblies is: How well do they project light onto the road, what brand kit did you go with, and what color temp. did you go with?

Pictures would also be great if you have them.

If you don't know the answer, or don't want to help, don't reply! Posts with zero information just clutter up threads and slow people down that DO use the search function!

This only took me 1 minute and may help others in addition to the OP. Good luck with your HIDs!

Thanks guys for your help. That was some good information. I'm still kind of on the fence as to do it or not. Thanks though.

I was on the fence at first. Like I mentioned in my post, I have seen my share of bad HID Retrofits and wanted no part of it. My own personal experience was with my previous car a Mazda 6. It had factory Halogen Projectors. I bought an HID Retrofit kit and it was horrible. There were dark and bright spots all over the road.. I went back to the Halogens for a while on that car but eventually retrofitted those headlights with real HID Projectors and loved it.

I assumed my Tundra would be in the same situation if I tried to install an HID Retrofit kit but I had read so many success stories from other members here that did theirs so I thought I'd give it another go.

I was very impressed at how nice and uniform the HID Light is focused on the road in front of me. I do not get any of those hot spots or shadows. It looks incredible and I had wished I would have done it along time ago!.

Good luck with your decision!

B.
