My 07 has 72,000 miles and now a loud chirping is comming from the hood. I believe it is the serpentine belt. On Saturday I plan on replacing the old one. There are a few cracks in it so it seems like a logical solution if not good preventive maintainence. (it could be the pully bearing)Has anybody attempted this yet and have some tips on the process. I plan on taking pictures and posting any problems. The dealer charged 126.00 for the belt.
You are not the first one to have this problem. Check here: Serpentine belt cracking @ 70K
There is also supposed to be a TSB for the belt tensioner, but I have not been able to locate the number for it.

I looked for the TSB also with no luck. I did just powerwash the motor last week and used the purple cleaner de-greaser. This may have started the issue. Going into the garage now to begin the replacement.
What in blue blazes is going on with that engine? This is not what people complain about as the dieseling noise is it? That sounds narley. Gotta be an explanation.

Well, I only have 18,000 miles on my 07 Tundra and I am getting the chirping for a second time now, the first time about 3-4 months ago I took it to the dealer and they replaced the belt so I wonder now if it has anything to do with any of the pulley bearings or something more complex than just the belt.........I need to take it back toi the dealer (still under warranty=free) and complain again.....I will post back here again when I resolve this issue....
