I just received my wheelskin steering wheel cover in the mail. I have the light grey interior and the grey cover matches it perfectly. But I have encountered a problem. The cover seems too small.
Did anyone with a wheelskin steering wheel cover find that they couldn't get the last 4 inches of cover to lace together. It is like the cover is too small only for the last 4 inches, since the rest of the cover I was able to get to butt-up to the otther end.
Check their website...maybe you got the wrong size. They have a sizing chart on there, or a phone # you can call to order it. Someone at the shop could size it for you. Good luck. I have the two-tone black/oak Wheelskins cover...fits perfectly, looks awesome.

I just wanted to add that I got a Wheelskins leather steering wheel cover from www.dccarcare.com. The wheelskins covers are great. I have used them in other vehicles. They fatten up the wheel nicely.
The one I ordered was sand color. It was a little too light colored for my Oak interior, IMO. I called up the DCcarcare where I ordered it from and they are shipping me a new one right away, no questions asked. They aren't even billing my credit card. They will if I don't send the other one back though. They are also sending it from another distributior so it will get to me in 1 day, 2 at the most. I'm very impressed with the service and would recommend them highly. I'm attaching a picture of the sand color cover so others can see. I decided to order the oak color. I will post again when I get the oak one and report the color match.
Well I ended up with an oak wheelskin. It is not a perfect match either, but a lot better than sand. I will attach a picture of the wheelskin installed. You can get an idea for the color match with my oak interior.
I should have said before that the oak matches the interior ok but the steering wheel is darker than other parts of the interior so the brown might blend better with it. But thats just my opinion, I could be wrong.
Nice job. Can you tell a fellow TSer some tips or pointers for install? I have the grey one coming for my SR5. Did you use a blind stich over the spokes? How long did it take?
I did do a blind stitch over the spokes. It is the only way to do it. It looks 10x better that way. It took me a few hours. Probably 2-3 hours. It wasn't too bad though.
I will say to be very careful when your doing the blind stitching over the front side of the spokes. For each hole that you blind stitch in front skip and equal number of holes on the back. It is easy to get off. You will see what I'm talking about when you do it. Other than this take your time and you will love it.
I got the brown for my oak interior, and it's kind of weird -- it looks good, but it doesn't really match the colors well.
I know that sounds odd, but I guess you have to see it for yourself.
Two things are really important for a good look:
1) Get the # of holes right when you blind-stitch the front, i.e. skip the same number in back or else...
2) Two stitches are more important than the others, so you'll want to get them right. As you approach a spoke, at some point you'll take a final "real" stitch before you start blind stitching.
These are the two most important stitches (the first and last "real" stitches on either side of a spoke), and really make or break the look. Make sure they're far enough away from the spoke so that you can cinch them nice and tight, getting good closure around the wheel.
If you get too close to the spoke, the cover can't stretch far enough, you won't be able to cover the wheel completely, and the thread will show, which looks awful. IIRC, I skipped/blind-stitched 5 holes for each spoke.
I have a 2000 Tundra AC with the oak interior and just installed the oak wheelskins steering wheel cover. I took my time with the installation, but it only took one hour and 20 minutes.
It looks great, and as everyone pointed out it matches the interior quite nicely eventhough is contrasts slightly with the sterring wheel. Thanks to the great advice on TS Forum I knew which color to buy and exactly what to expect.
