question for a co-worker
work with a guy that bought a 5.7 tundra a few weeks ago. he is not a computer person and ask me to post a question on his behalf.
he is considering a custom 2 into 1 exhaust so he can stay with a single tailpipe and will be going with a stainless works chambered round muffler--looks like a powerstick muffler to me--but it's stainless. anyway, he is looking at a 3" in/out but the core is only 2.5".
the question then would be, is a single, albeit non-restrictive, muffler with only a 2.5' center opening enough for proper flow for the 5.7?
i am running dual 2.25" powersticks with an H pipe and my truck runs fantastic. he doesn't want to spend the time and money if he's going to hurt performance.
