Pulled the trigger again.....

Well, after spending the last couple days visiting my local dealers, and not getting the deal I was looking for, I visited the dealer I have dealt with for the last few years. Even though they tried to ding my the last couple visits (will have to keep my eye on them) they gave me the best deal and also informed me that If I was willing to wait an extra few weeks for a truck I could get a 2010 instead of a 2009. None of the other dealers even mentioned 2010s coming soon.
Anyway, I ordered an AlpineWhite (SuperWhite in the US) 2010 CrewMax 4x2 with the 5.7L engine.
Now all I have to do is wait til late May or early June for delivery........on a brighter note I have 5 months to buy parts and pieces to customize her.

Man, I don't think I could buy a vehicle that far out.

The next few months are going to be rough.

What happened to your last truck?

My last Toyota was an FJ Cruiser, I sold it last June with intentions of getting a Tundra this spring. I tried to purchase a US truck last July but no US dealer that had the truck I wanted would sell me one. I then ordered a RCSB in August, but the deal fell through, the dealer wouldn't honor the deal we made so I backed out.
Now the waiting begins.......

How positive are they that the 2010's will be available in May or June?

The Tundra yearly releases so far have been out of sync with Toyota's normal model years which is why the 2009's are just now hitting the showrooms instead of in September when Toyota normally releases new models.

I have a hard time believing that the 2010's are just 4 months or so away.

According to our local toyota rep, January will be the last production month for Canadian Tundras. Toyota will begin 2010 production in March and since mine has been preordered and considered sold it does receive priority over ordered inventory.
About all I can do is trust them and the Toyota paper work they presented to me and of coarse wait......

it's true, we're on the same schedule down in the states. be carefull what you order for parts though, there are some minor cosmetic changes planned.
