Winter Blend Gas Mileage?

I bought my truck in late august and i was getting pretty good gas mileage i could easily break 300+ miles with 20 gallons. so now its early january and my gas mileage seems to be getting worse i can barely make 250 miles now with 20 gallons. So would this be cause of the winter blend gas or is it my truck. I do run my truck on empty (when the miles to go says 0) would that have a negative effect on anything. Anyone have some input or the same problem?

its like that pretty much with any type of car, when its cold you get less miles per gallon. and you shouldnt ride your truck on empty always fill up with gas when you approach the 1/4 tank mark.
