Long Tube Headers, High Flow Cats and Corsa sport = loud
Well i finally got it done. Long tube headers, high flow cats and corsa sport single out. Its way to loud (i will get pix and vid with my phone tomorrow its too dark out there and do not expect super good quality). It sounds like high compression hot rod with straght pipes when i stomp on it. i was wondering if i replace my myfler with touring one would it make it quieter? Or i was wondering after adding supercharger does it even flow out or just makes it even louder? thanks.

The Corsa is tuned to work with a specific engine / exhaust combination, from which you have deviated somewhat. It might be that the sound cancellation technology in the Corsa is no longer effective, or perhaps this is subjective, i.e. the normal Corsa sport tone is just too loud for you. In that case the Touring would help, but if the reason is the former, it may not.

Yeah. Because i had just corsa on there before and it sounded nice. but now Its loud. What i noticed it still does pretty good job with drone. I just need it to be a lil bit quieter...

No its still dark outside.. just give me about an hour or so. And i just called corsa. And they told me that touring version will make it quieter and that what they recommend if u got headers, trd sup or cats so it might work a lil better.

Now all you need is a nice h-pipe

DTLT's are just flat out loud specially at WOT, I had them on my X-Runner with a large Magnaflow muffler two Magnaflow resonators and rear cats. and it was tolerable until you mashed it then it got loud and turned heads! Of course I had the URD intake as well and that added to the roar. I can only imagine what my 5.7 will sound like when I get my exhaust and intake
Woo Hoo!

Re: Long Tube Headers, High Flow Cats and Corsa sport = loud
I have near identical setup (u can see pics in my gallery for proof) and for the most part it is going to be loud. U have deleted to cats and went with the long tubes. I have a crossover/balance pipe on mine. I never tested it without but i've read this help with sound reduction slightly. I love the sound personally (it is very loud when you open it up, but IMO under moderate to normal driving conditions it is not much louder than other systems. The corsa muffler still quells the drone very well with this setup too. I would possibly try the touring muffler, and if that dont work maybee add magna flows tiny race mufflers for a little extra. Looks good though!
Mods-True Flow XDI intake, DT tri-Y headers, 2 magna flow hi-flow cats, custom y pipe with crossover, Corsa Sport side exit exhaust, UniChip custom tune.
Re: Long Tube Headers, High Flow Cats and Corsa sport = loud
I admire the technology that goes into Corsa exhaust systems. If you look at the muffler, you can see clear through it, just like a piece of straight pipe. It is pretty amazing they are able to get silencing going on with zero restriction like that.
Then again, if the tuning that goes into these mufflers is so touchy that bolting up a set of headers can screw it up and make it loud again, I am wondering about buying the Corsa. It seems to me that anyone who would pay around $1000 for an exhaust system is also going to buy other stuff for mods, such as headers, which could make the sound cancellation technology ineffective. They need to make their systems continue working with other typical mods, at least the bolt on varieties.
