Correct sir. If you have less then 1 year, or 12,000 miles left on your 5yr/60,000, then it becomes 1 year/12,000. Which ever is greater. I had about 9,000 miles when I installed mine, so it will be falling under the 5yr/60,000 or the truck.
Re: The "Official" 5.7L Supercharger Problem Thread
I had my supercharger installed back in october. I noticed the engine cutting out at WOT. I brought it back to the dealer to check it out. They said that this was normal for a truck and that nothing was wrong because there was no check engine lights coming on. I am mad as hell that I paid almost $7,000.00 for this supercharger and it does not work properly. I have obtained a case # from toyota and they told me I would here from the dealership's customer service relations manager. When the manager contacted me he said that the regional tech said there was no reflash coming out. Now I am going to dispute the charge on my credit card for the supercharger because toyota sold me a defective product and is doing nothing to correct the problem.
Re: The "Official" 5.7L Supercharger Problem Thread
Well, just got off the phone with TRD. (1:00PM mountain; Mar23, 2009). Was told that they are STILL working on a reflash...but nothing yet....no e/t.
Hohum...
Re: The "Official" 5.7L Supercharger Problem Thread
My own personal opinion is that unless the flash comes out very very quickly (while its still cold out) then prospective supercharger purchasers should hold off until late fall to actually confirm that the issue is resolved....If you live in a warm climate go for it but I really question whether the issue will really be resolved.....
Re: The "Official" 5.7L Supercharger Problem Thread
well.....after today's phone call to trd i made up my mind. as i was driving home today (in my dodge) i decided that tomorrow morning i'm calling my old buddy...which happens to be my lawyer as well. i am absolutely sick and tired of these jerkoffs giving me/us the runaround. i have two identical brand new tundras just sitting because of what i, at this point, consider.......fraud.

That is exactly what I plan to do, "hold off", even though we have nothing but warm weather here in Hawaii...
