Default CAI in a cold climate?

this question is probably (actually I know it is!) pretty dumb, as I am not versed in cold air intakes, so here goes nothing:

I live pretty far north where it routinely is -30 Celsius and colder 6-8 months out of a year. Are there any issues with using a CAI where its usually pretty darn cold anyhow?

Also, would a CAI add any more "growl" to my engine? I've still got the stock non-trd exhaust.

thanks!

Not likely any issues due to the cold, as your OEM intake system draws outside air as well. Noise is a function of the intake. Some are louder than others.

I have had CAI in all of my trucks and during the winter I spend a lot of time in VT (I live in NY) and there have been many mornings that were -15F or colder and other than the battery being a little weak there were no issues at all.

You want cold air! So you're in business. Growl is great even with factory exhaust.

the "more cold air" could be a problem if it doesnt compensate with enough fuel, that cold of air is a lot more dense needing more fuel to burn efficiently or it could be running lean...not sure if the computer can compensate for THAT much more air that is THAT cold...i wouldnt bother with one if i were you, the stock one does a great job...but thats your decision
