Now I feel like I have a truck. Mods were a 2.4 in. Readylift leveling kit and a 1 in. rear block-I like this proportion and BF Goodrich AT KO 305/65/18's. I had to do some very minor trimming to the skid plate(about a 4/1 inch strip) @ full turn. My stock tires were B'stone dueller 255/70/18 and they were very slick. Last weekend I pulled a trailer for a buddy of mine and got stuck in his back yard from where his AC unit was dripping! I said screw this @#@#! Will not happen again! I have noticed a slight increase in tire noise at low speeds 15-45 mph. At higher speeds 50-75 I can't really tell a differance. To early to know if MPG's will change. For those in the know, do I need to re-calibrate with these tires? I have heard due to the larger circumference the speedometer readings will be off. Thats it. I would like to get everyones opinion on my slate metallic.

Lowkey37,
Are those stock Toyota rims? ie are they 8" wide wheels? When I ware out my Coopers, those are the exact tire I'm looking to put on. I have 18x8 black powder coated stockers. If those are 8" wide rims, the tire sidewall doesn't look to bulged out indicating to narrow of a rim. The same percentage that the new tire is taller then the old, is the same percentage your spedo will be off.

Well yes and no-My rims are 18x8 enkei which do come as an upgraded option on the tundra. So you think this setup is to narrow? I'm not sure what you meant by saying the tire sidewall doesn't look to bulged out which indicates to narrow of a rim. Were you saying if the tire is bulged out then the rim would be to narrow? This tire is 33.7 and my old ones were 32.1. Can I re-calibrate to make my spedo accurate?
Nope. There is only one device available out there to correct the speedo/odo and correct the shift points back to stock, thats the hypertech inline speedometer calibrator.

I think that your tire don't have to much of a sidewall bulge. If a tire is to wide for a rim, it will make the bead of the tire squeeze in to the rim width, and appear to be bulged out. All tire manufacturers will have a recommend rim width, usually a 2" or so spread ,like from 8" to 10" wide rim. The taller tire helps because of the flex in the sidewall. I think your set up looks great. Like it allot.
Your lift and tire setup looks perfect. I'm sold. I'm going with this setup whenever my stock tires wear out. Looks really solid. Thanks for the pictures.
