Re: TRD 5.7L Supercharger - Dyno Test & Tune
How hard is it to tune that MAF? I just got the supercharger on order and should be here today or tomorrow. This looks very interesting...

What version MAF calibrator are you using (i.e. is it the one with the MAP sensor built in) ?

Well - its not something I would do by myself. Hooking it up is fairly simple - just a few spliced wires, but to actually tune the MAF Calibrator requires a wideband O2 monitor, a laptop with software to interface to the fuel map and knowledge of what the calibrator is actually doing and a road or dyno. Gadget @ URD can help with any other technical questions. I recommend you get someone to at least tune it if you've never tuned a vehicle before.

No MAP sensor - Gadget recommended the one without the MAP. I think I have it set up based on flow, not pressure.

So you had the shop tune it for you? Or did you have all the stuff to do the tune?

The shop tuned it. The dyno simulates a load - like normal driving and they have the expensive wideband 02 monitoring equipment.

Re: TRD 5.7L Supercharger - Dyno Test & Tune
Looking at the graph, I was wondering why the runs only went up to approxiately 5700 rpm. Does the new ECU drop the rev limit? I wish I had some extra cash laying around for that. Just curious and nosey, what was the total price? I wish I could install it myself and not void my platuim warranty.

Re: TRD 5.7L Supercharger - Dyno Test & Tune
my guess would be factory speed gov limited the stock run as well as the drive train loss
20-25% is normal
things like engine heat, humidity, elevation, intake temp, trans temp(auto) play a big factor in this.

293 at the wheels equates to a 24% loss as you stated - keeping in mind I have BFG 33" tires on - I'm sure at adds a little more drivetrain loss
As far as rev limiter goes - all of the runs were done in 4th gear, so I think that is the top speed limiter kicking in there...
