The AFR Calibrator is almost the exact same thing as the MAF Calibrator - Just hooked up to different sensors.

And nobody makes a pulley for this S/C......yet.

It most definitely is a pulley - just not for the 3UR-FE TRD Supercharger. I'm sure we could easily have one made but Gadget at URD thinks its a bad idea...

I understand now - I assumed that part was applicable for our trucks.

But back to that AFR calibrator, it wouldn't make sense to buy that if you already have the MAF calibrator?

I hope to be "supercharged" by next month so just planning out on what add'l parts to get once it's installed...

Any tips?

You're going to have to ask Gadget at URD about the specifics, but the MAF calibrator adjusts the Air-fuel ratios (AFR's) The AFR calibrator does the exact same thing - so you only need one or the other. Gadget recommended me the MAF calibrator so that's why I bought it. Any further explanation of how they work will need to come from someone at URD

I would definitely make sure you get tuned at a reputable speed shop with wideband O2 monitoring and someone who knows how to tuned forced induction vehicles.

Have fun!!

I'll look into that MAF calibrator along with custom tune, thanks!

Two tanks of premium through after the tune reporting 13.2 mpg on each. This compares favorably to the 12.5-12.8 mpg I was getting before the tune. Should be able to hit 13.5 mpg pretty easily if I can keep my foot out of it

Now all I need is a tonneau cover and I should be able to be back in the 14's

The fuel economy you are reporting, is that average for the tank or highway?

What does your truck get on the highway just cruising along at the speed limit?

I was at 12.5-12.8 mpg average for the tank (50% highway/ 50% city) before the tune. After the tune I am getting about 13.2-13.5 mpg.

Not sure what kind of fuel economy I get just cruising along the highway at the speed limit. Since the S/C kit includes new injectors, the instantaneous and calculated mpg in the computer are both wrong. If I had to guess it would be 14-15. I know that this thing sucks down the gas when I am WOT - probably to the tune of 5-8 mpg. Add it all up and it ends up around mid-13 mpg's.

Mine gets 14.7-14.8 no matter what I do. I purchased it new with the sc, so I am not sure what it might have been otherwise.
