Fabtech 6" Installed!

I switched my leveling kit to the Fabtech 6" and changed my wheels and tires. Truck rides much nicer than it did with the leveling kit, plus I'm not getting that front axle binding noise anymore.

It's actually about 5" of lift, I cranked it down about an 1-1/4" in the front to level it out. Here are some pics...
















The tires are Nitto 325/60r20's on a 9x20" rim with a +12mm offset. The wheel wasn't my first choice, I really wanted the black procomps with the simulated bead, but nobody had them available and choices are limited in a 20" with +12 offset. The red thing in the wheel worried me when I ordered them, but it's growing on me now, plus you barely notice it in person as the rest of the truck overwhelms that little detail.

I researched the wheel before I bought them and found out they were removable. The red insert is also removable, however as it's in there with double sided tape, it would take some work to get all the residue off.

if you dont mind me asking, how much did you pay for the fabtech kit??
i was at 4wheel parts they quoted me like 5000 installed 0_o

Les Scwab charged me a little under $4,000, the dirt logic coil overs added quite a bit to the price though. I kind of thought I got overcharged, $5,000 is definitely to high.

Looks nice! Love the bumper, but didn't like the pricing. I can't even convince the wife that I need rims. Well more like want, no way she would go for the bumper She said I have put to much money into it already with the things she wanted (side steps, tonneau).

Love the truck and those wheels are pretty sweet matched with that TRD BBK. I have been seriously debating taking my TRUXXX 3/1 kit out and doing a 6" lift because I really think it should be just a bit higher but like someone else already said, convincing the better half is the main issue, haha. She has to "hop" a little bit anyway to get in as it is now!

The kits seemed pretty similar to me. Les Schwab who did the install only deals with fabtech, plus I had a fabtech on a ford once and was happy with it.

So far I have no complaints and am really impressed with how nice it rides.

The inserts on the wheels aren't that bad to take off. If you get a paint scraper with a fairly sharp blade you can slide it in there and it comes up pretty easy. You can roll the tape up with your finger and clean it up with goo gone. It took me a total of about 3 hours to get the inserts off all 4 wheels and painted.

Your Tundra looks badass man! The lift really sets off that wheel/tire combo, and the bumpers...... damn, sick.
