Have a 08 dblcb real happy, but I mentioned a 97 dodge I traded cause I couldn't in all honesty take the crazy bashing being dealt dodge on this forum. If you don't believe me listen to guntech Yall know & trust him. Truth is I work around some highly skilled machinist that are die hard mopar heads so I'll explain it real simple. Got a hemi with a good intake and exhaust installed with a Diablo sport predator programmer(for around a 1,000$) in a drag race your rcsb is getten in deep sh!t not to mention what another 1,000$'s will do. Not trying to pi$$ no one off just keeping everyone informed. Stock your good, aftermarket ouch yall get burned.
He probably had few other mods.
I never lost to any Hemi. Even somewhat with few mods, diesel silverado, lost - from 60 to over triple digits... (we tried about 3 times, and every time I gave him 1 truck head start, and by the time we are close to one hundred I was about 1/2 trucks ahead... You should of seen that guys face, it was priceless.)
Thanks God for map B on my unichip

Drove a 2007 dodge with diesel, rode like crap thought it was going to rattle my teeth out of my head so couldnt imagine 100mph in one. Probably be like driving a freightrain into HELL.

That's pretty much what I said. A Tundra will NOT beat a modded Dodge Hemi. That's kind of comparing apples to oranges though. It looks to me that the OP pitted an apple against an orange.
If he would have pitted a RCSB Tundra with a S/C a good tune, exhaust W/LT headers and a good intake, the Dodge would have seen nothing but the Tundra's tail lights. I feel he would have won if it were even stock to stock. It's all relative. Unfortunately at this point, there isn't a decent tune out there for an '07+ Tundra that will give us what this 5.7L REALLY has to offer.

Cooter2 you hit the nail on the head, my 97 DODGE wuz like driving a freightrain to HELL, but my point is that to HELL & back it went w/few problems & never leaving me stranded. Rode in a DODGE DIESEL CUMMINGS 4+4 for months after Katrina w/out another soul on the interstate, & I guarentee it never ran less than 100 mph & yea it wuz hell.
had to have mods i took a 4X4 5.7 Hemi dodge in my 05' they are heavy heavy trucks those dodges..

The aftermarket for the cummins is almost endless. There are so many different programmers and boxes, not to mention twin turbos that can be put on them to make em faster. Also watch those D-max's. They are surprisingly quick even mildly tuned.
The hemi prolly had an edge programmer (most popular for rams)
As for the ctd, the new 6.7 isn't that impressive compared to the 5.9 ctd, an edge stacked with a smarty can do some serious damage, but then you'll be buying a fuel pump that can handle the flow and that's about 600 bucks just for that. But bottom line 1000 bucks in upgrades on a ctd and it would make a tundra with a super charger look miserable. The ctds can run 11.5-13 without major mods, to get to 10 then yer looking at a new tranny and it must be 4wd so you don't spin the tires all the way down the track. Pretty impressive seeing a lifted 6-7k pound vehicle going that fast down a track.
