Default 305/50/20 on factory 20"? No lift, will they work?

I search the forums but haven't found anything from someone who doesn't have a lift or leveling kit. I know they rub the skid plate even with some lifts but do they rub the wheel wells? Everything on mine is stock with 20" factory limited wheels. If anyone in the same situation or know anything it will be greatly appreciated.

They will not rub the wheels wells. They are only 32"s tall. Should have NO problem.

I've been wondering about this for quite sometime myself. I was also considering getting a new set of 20's but slightly wider (like 20x9 or 20x10) with possibly a Toyo Open Country M/T tire or similar.

I just put 305/50/20 on my truck with the stock 20" chrome wheels. What a difference! I was concerned that the stock wheels offset would cause them to hit the uca's but no problems here even at full lock with some suspension compression. Hooks up better, handles better and looks so much better with a little tire sticking out.

Have to agree with you Koldsimer. Went this morning and put on my 305/50/20 Tera Grapplers AT on the stock limited wheels. Close to the uca's bout 1/2". I went down a pipeline to flex it at all angles while turning and no signs of rubbing. Just a note, I went from factory alenzas 275/55/20 and it rides whole lot rougher than I expected, guess the nittos have a much stiffer sidewall. Fixin to check the pressure and makes sure they didn't put 50psi in em. Thanks for all the input.

LOL cooter you can't compare an alenza ride quality to nitto terras, whatever you do will not even get you close to the ride quality you had.

I was expecting a rougher ride but it is VERY rough. I run dick cepek mud countrys on my Z71 and they are way smoother. I bounce around on semi bumpy roads and my traction control light blinks. Gotta get used to them is all.

Just my 2 cents........i think you need at least 9 inch wide rims for that size tire. I put 305/50/20 s on 20x9 rims, tire rack will tell you same thing.they will physically fit the rim.....but will wear out outsides faster.
good luck.

Hmmmm thats odd...I have the same tire in the 275 55 20 size and do not find the ride rough at all.....I double checked and your tire size is not a Load E tire.....What was your tire pressure? I think I run around 40 in mine.....
