I bought an oem navi headunit for my 07 Tundra RCSB non jbl. All what i was looking for was the display and the radio function. I recieved my head unit yesterday, pulled out my old one, and what do you know, the wire harness plugs dont fit.
Is there any special connector that I need to get? I just want audio and screen to come on, dont need navi at the moment. I only have the oem navi unit with out the rest of the parts.
How can I make this work?
I searched but couldnt find any straight forward answer. Thanks!

I'd start with the wiring diagrams of JBL w/Nav & non-JBL first and then go from there...I think Mendonsy may have the wiring diags or if not try Sparks Toyota or go right to Sparks...I'm sure they would help you out & they probably have the correct wiring harnesses you need...Brad
You need to search in the GPS/NAV section. There are many post about this. Check out the link, page two has a PDF on how to install on your non-jbl truck and page three has the name of the person in Canada that you will have to call to get the right wiring harness. As far as I know you can only get that wire harness from Canada. Good luck with your install.

you need alot of extras like the jbl amp and there is a wire harness that you can get from toyota to plug it in. if you eventually want to get the navi to work you'll need the antenna and map cd. theres a link in this site with step by step instructions and pics. sorry i dont know it off hand but i know i've seen it. i had also purchased a stock navi unit, but after seeing what u have to go through to install in in a non jbl---i sold it. check out the the boyo avn unit it sells for around $600 and you get alot of bang for your buck.
thanks all for your replie s.. I should have researched this more thoroughly before buying the oem navi unit.
Im looking for the wire harness from the guy in canada, but cant seem to find it.
