Smile Oil changing

I have a 2002 tundra 4.7l and have been changing oil at 5000 miles, but Iv'e read that some have been changing their oil between 7000 to 12000 miles. I am using syn. oil. Am I changing my oil too soon ? Thanks

Depends on oil quality and oil filter.
Try posting the question in the 1st gen tundra section for a better audience.
