Question New to the truck world, Need some advice

Just bought my first truck, after having 3 bimmers and couldn't be happier; my fishin poles finally fit in my car and i dont have to worry bout gettin mud in the car . I went with the 4.6 double cab with trd and sr5 (i didn't see any need to jump to the 5.7, for me it would just be a waste of gas.) I want to have the exhaust replaced with a throaty-er one, running boards, and possibly a lift but being new to trucks and there being so many options, im just confused more than anything. I like quality and don't mind paying for it (why i went with the tundra).

My questions are:
Is there a hierarchy to the brands that produce the exhausts/lifts or is just a mans opinion of which better?
As for the exhaust, I want a deep loud exhaust but no tickets unless its worth it....any suggestions?

I like the Flowmaster Super 40. Try going on YouTube and searching for different exhausts and seeing what you like best. It will sound a little different in person but you can get a idea of how each one sounds. A few popular ones are: Flowmaster, Borla, Magnaflow.

Research it carefully. I have a 5.7 so it's a somewhat different beast and I have no experience with the 4.6. But these new Toyota motors are quieter than the competition, which means they won't respond the same to an exhaust upgrade. I came from a 4.7 liter dodge truck. There's not much you can do with an exhaust on one of those or a HEMI that WON'T get that motor sounding nice and deep and loud. For my Toyota 5.7 I have been all over youtube and heard only 2, maybe 3 exhausts that sounded like they would have enough loudness in comparison to stock and the right sound quality for me to appreciate it from the cab. Quite a few are barely louder than a stock system. I heard one 5.7 with a flowmaster 40 and a TRD intake in person and was not impressed with the sound quality. Have heard nothing that has the deep, throaty muscle car sound quality that you get when you put something decent on a V8 Chevy, Dodge, or Ford.

I've heard suggestions like doing headers too and removing one of the resonators. Just some things I suggest you look into before you pick a muffler or a complete system and just throw it on. As there maybe other tweaks or mods you'll need to do to get just the sound you're looking for.

For a high quality exhaust I would go with a Corsa, or Borla. Neither currently offer anything for the 4.6L so you'll have to wait.

If your looking to get just a muffler for sound.. I dont think you could go with anything other than magnaflow.. super 40's are just annoying in the cab.

i got some flowmaster something or others put on right after i got my 4.7...went to the local exhaust place and had them put true duals on it... on a truck ur not going to get much power increase or anything that you can actually feel or tell so theres really no point in spending a grand on a custom bolt on system when u can get the same sound for 350 from the local cut off and weld on place.

oh and not sure on the 4.6 since its new but the mpg on the 4.7 was actually LESS than the 5.7.... i wish i had gotten the 5.7 sometimes but truth be told the 4.7 is perfectly adequate for anything i have used it for or probally will use it for and i got it just because it was the leather/exterior color/trd etc equipment that i wanted right then right there. i could have waited i guess but it was an impulse buy anyway so oh well haha.

just dont be suprised, though, it is a toyota truck and things are going to bug you not being on par with your old german rides.... my wife has an 07 benz and the quality is night and day difference but the T is still better than the domestics in most areas, with the exceptino of probally the spray painted dash and cheap door panels, etc.
