Default Swapping Beds

I stupidly damaged the bed on my '03 regular cab (long bed) V8 4WD Tundra. I've located an '06 V6 bed that would appear to fit my truck. Two questions:

1. Will the V6 bed bolt up to my frame for sure?

2. How can I remove the side trim and tailgate badging from the old bed and install them on the "new" one?

Default Re: Swapping Beds

I have not done that with a Tundra, but I have swapped beds with the older Toyota models with no problems. I suspect it should be a bolt on unless they changed a bracket somewhere between model years.

While I think of it, check the electrical connectors. Toyota seems to like to switch vendors between years.
