Which is the better?..Is the drop down screen larger & clearer than the rear view mirror image that is on the 2010 models.? Which would you buy & install?

So far, So good
my wife had the mirror cam one on her camry. I hated it. It was way to small and hard to see. If I had a choice I would buy the crop down screen. Plus it looks cooler too.
From what I gather reading various posts, Toyota does not make a drop down monitor for the 2010s. The 2010 also has a different wiring harness, so getting a monitor/camera setup for a 2007-09 will not work without a hassle.
I was advised by one of the TS dealer sponsors that a monitor/camera for the 2010s will cost around $1300.
Love the Mirror Camera on the 10,after using it the drop down camera seems kinda lame.....
Man I gotta say that drop down one would be a pain. Who needs another couple steps to take to just back up? Dropping down and putting up the monitor again all the time would get old real quick. Im sure thats why Toyota changed it, heck I bet after a while people with the drop down stop using it most of the time cause of the hassle.

what is best is personal preference. how often and how you will use it will help guide you. If you have a 2010 then the mirror will be way easier.
I bought a set with a 2.5" mirror and was going to install it but then decided to do my moms sienna instead. she would have trouble reaching for a drop down if they even existed.
With the camera, unless it is for hitching, you just want to see if something is there, detail is not important. and you can get rear view mirrors in 2.5", 3.5" and something like up to 10 inches. which i think is too big.
there are 2 fixed overhead displays for the tundra so for those that like that and don't want to go through that step of dropping down.
