Default LockPick2 Available for Tundra...All Nav Functions Unblocked and Video Playback!!!

Well....they finally developed one for the newer model Toyota Nav units!!! Here is a link to the site...

LOCKPICK 2

Looks like it unblocks all nav functions while in motion as well as allowing video playback via the Ipod! I'm going to give them a call tomorrow and get more details. I'm eyeing the Lockpick 2AV since I don't have the stock DVD overhead unit. If I add one, I will add one like ZPaul did (Alpine unit...FM modulated audio and head phones).

Anyone bought the Lockpick2 yet? Feedback? Thanks!!!

Matt

Definitely let us know how the phone call goes. It would be nice to get this set up to allow movies to play. My nav already works on the move. Find out how much exactly including shipping? How is the install?

I have it installed in my 08 Sequoia and it works wonderfully. The main feature I bought it for was the ability to change the address while driving, secondly it is nice when the front passenger can watch the same DVD as the rear passenger and third (not useful to me but 'cool') is the ability to turn on the rear camera while the vehicle is in motion. The radio has to be on, push info button and push power button 2 times and you have rear camera, same thing with nav and dvd, push power button 2 times quick.

It was $200 plus $9 shipping, got it within 3 days. I had a shop do the install but it's all plug and play.

Since I don't have a stock DVD system, can I connect an IPOD to it and play a movie on the nav screen? Their website seems to indicate such.

How difficult was the install? It appears to be no more than plug and play.

If you can take apart the dash you can do the install.

One other question...does the installation of the LockPick and the connection of the IPOD to it take the place of the stock "Auxilary Input" on the front of the dash? In other words, will I now connect the IPOD to the factory system and be able to use the steering wheel controls with it running through the LockPick instead of plugged into the front of the dash with the 3.5mm jack?

I don't use my IPOD in the car, all wires are installed behind the stock unit.

Per the website it looks like 2WF is for factory DVD and 2AV is for IPOD movies

This is sounding like a great possibility. Wow, finally be able to watch movies from the passenger seat for just $210. How much for the install where you live and by who?

I paid $150 for the install by a stereo shop that guarantees their labor for life.

What all did they do?!?!? I've seen picks of this thing and it looks totally plug and play. What cost you $150?

Flat rate for install, took them 2 hours, don't know why or really care. It works well, everything was put back perfectly and it wasn't my last $150.

I sent them an email tonight to check on a few details such as installation (I couldn't find a PDF on their site like TRDSPARKS does for their TRD CAI for example), which model to get exactly for my set-up, and if you have to take the dash apart to plug n play.

Where did you find their email address? I didn't see it on their page. I'm curious about how the IPOD will connect to the factory stereo with the LockPick for playing music instead of just using the auxliary jack on the front. In other words, do you keep steering wheel control functionality, can you still change songs from the IPOD and not using the steering wheel controls, etc.

We put one of those IPOD interfaces by Vais Tech in my wife's Sequoia so she could control it from her steering wheel and I hate it. Everything has to be in playlists...very, very cumbersome. I want to control the IPOD in hand.
