Not a Tundra, but there is currently a TSB out for the 2009+ Corolla due to a cold start knock.

What's going on that you need it replaced?

worst possible thing has happened to my tundra, the dealer has it until 10/08/09. and i am to drive a tacoma until then. i must have bad karma. my engine is the 4.6 liter. the engine light has come on twice. as of today still has 413 miles and it has been almost a week, very sad.

Only ask as my 5.7 makes all kinds of racket when cold.... It's kind of embarrassing in a sense...

If you're not paying for it... there's no smoke to blow...
It's not coming out of your pocket...

I'm having mine done as we speak. Dealer has had it since last Thursday. All the listed symptoms...CE light comes on with less than 400 miles on it. At first they thought it was the gas cap...I hope this is not a major deal

The 4.6 has a timing belt? I thought they use a timing chain just like the 5.7. Or is it the serpentine belt you are referring to?

Two weeks!!! That is rediculous!!! Mine has now been in for a week. Problem started with under 400 miles on the truck. The whole point of buying a Toyota is NOT TO HAVE TO DEAL WITH THINGS LIKE THIS. How long are we required to put up with this before we can request a different vehicle?
