Default 5100's With 295/70/R18 Nitto

Ok, I just picked up a new 2010 Tundra CrewMax and traded in my 2007 Tundra DC.

Now as you can see from my post count and the time I have been a member I dont post much and usually search out all my info but this time I have a few questions.

Ok I am thinking of going with 5100 shocks in the front at the highest level 2.5" and putting 1"block in the back Because I need a decent amount of rake as I am towing a heavy trailer almost daily.
Will the above setup allow me to fit Nitto TerraGrapplers 295/70/R18 on stock rims? I dont mind if I have to bend the skid plate a little which may not be a problem as I dont have the TRD Version any longer. Or would it just be safer to go with the Ready Lift SST 3/1 which is on sale right now for 229.00. I do know though from reading on here people seem to prefer the 5100 to any block lift.

Next question, When I pull my work trailer the weight can vary anywhere from 5,500 lbs to 3,000 lbs but I am unsure of what the tounge weight is. I want to make sure I will not be squating to far in the back after the lift or is there another option that I could use to keep the back up so I am not nose high while towing.

Thanks for the help I greatly appreciate it!!

Those tires will fit with no lift, believe it or not. You will probably have to trim the skid plate though. For your saggy rear end problem, airbags are probably your best bet.

I have the 295/70r18 TG with no lift, save your money, they do rub on full turn on sway bar, didnt have to remove mudflaps either

Be surprised if those tires will fit.
I am just picked up my '10 CM this week. I have 5100s to put on it and I ordered Michelin LTX A/T2 275/70/18s today, probably be a week or so before I have it all put together. Got the 5100s from shockwarehouse, $234 for all 4 delivered.

I put on Firestone air bags. They work great for leveling your pickup when your load varies a lot. Add more air, or let the air out, either way keeps your pickup level.

OK thanks again everyone for the help!!

Thats great to here that the tires will fit without a lift. I am still going to go the Bilstein 5100 route for the front but at least I know it will def fit now.
As far as the back I was just researching the Firestone bags and I think that may be the way I am going. But I do have a question about them, would I need to still get the rear 1" block to keep some rake in it when I am not towing or can the airbags raise it one inch over stock (when not towing)?

Thanks!!!!!!!

Got all four 5100 for same price, install will be more expensive.
What setting are you going to put bilsteins, middle or top?

If you put 5100 TO MIDDLE POSITION, YOU WILL HAVE a one inch rake in Crewmax for towing and dead level in double cab. If YOU WANT FULL 2.5 up front, be prepared to add a leaf or air bags in back for towing due to being deal level in CREWMAX with 1/4 inch rear higher. Block is ok but if you haul why not go with a more functional rear set up like AAL or air bags?

I am going with the 1.71" middle setting.
My truck is not a TRD and I wanted better shocks and a little lift, that is how I justified getting new tires and shocks on a brand new truck anyway.

On Crewmax you will have little rake in middle but dead level on full 2.5 with 1/4 inch rake in rear that you cant tell unless you measure.

I have the 275/65 18 at/2 MICHS om mine now, p rated. Should have gone 70 but not interested in e rated tires.

May look at MS/2 in 50-60,000 miles when these wear out, they are still aggressive looking and great road riding quite tire for AT, amazing in wet weather...no herky jerky and planted for sure.

i have roughly a one inch rake on my dc with the middle setting but you have to put a tape on it to know. however, now the 275 65 18 tires look small will probably move to 285 size.
