Subscribe to this forum and download his DIY's, very helpful. But don't follow it word for word if you don't have the 5701.

that's why I prefer the pkall over any bypass when doing toyotas. If you are using a pkall all the wires can be found in the immobilizer harness at the key cylinder and you don't have to worry about the security light. In your case, the security light is easy to get to. You pull the speaker grill in the middle of the dash and you should have access to the wiring harness. I would double check to see if you need to even hook it up first. To determine this, just remote start the vehicle and let it run for a little bit. Then do the key take-over, if the light still blinks then you are sh*t out of luck! I found tapping into the security light is a hit or miss with some toyotas! I hope this helps and good luck!

when I did my '08, the bypass connections were all made in the passenger kick panel. I did not have to connect a wire for the security light - I had no issues with it comming on.
