Well that was sort of my point, the surge of power would be more fun without dragging 8k behind ya !!
Trust me the JBAs added a nice blast to the 4.7 without the 5'er behind it, very quick.
I can only imagine what the 5.7 with long tubes would do, I had been looking at them really serious, but things here have made me put them on hold.
Ahh, my fault. It does look like the numbers would be great in getting off the line quicker which would be great for my 1/4 mile. I am a bit concerned with having to use the Rear Simulators from URD to prevent the CEL lights coming on; will this affect my truck in any negative way such as too lean or other?

Yeah LTs will give you a good oomph in horsepower @ Torque...Supercharger will give you a complete feel of monstrous power but once again Family comes 1st...if I was you I'd see and wait on Diablosport to bring us the Tuners!!!

Nope, the rear O2s only monitor catalyst performance and set a code if there is a problem. The fronts alter AFR.
Alright Mr. Creosote, I always respect your input because you always offer it with support and facts. Are you telling me that from your understanding that I will have nothing to worry about if I this is my daily driver, family trip vehicle, and our side delivery business truck?

I am anxious to see what Diablo comes up with. My bro has the Trinity Diablo for his Ram. He showed me how it works tonight and the control he has over so many factors. I haven't ruled out my Unichip as the install will be tomorrow; we will see. I am anxious about possibly getting the headers though........

It will make the same power etc but the CEL light will be on. You should not just ignore it because if a second more serious code pops up....

Attention environmentalists, reduce emissions from this:
Ya the sims from URD will not cause any issues, and you need them with the long tubes. The O2 sims from URD are only $95, $85 if you by the DTs from them. Also look at Sparks as they have the DTs for like $600.

Gadget is supposed to email me back tomorrow with some answers to my questions. I am definitely leaning towards getting them knowing that emissions, inspections, and no harm to my truck will not be worries for me. As long as the SIMS are the real deal and will not harm my truck by providing harmful fake signals, then I would be happy.
I don't want to get them on there, and then worry about not passing state emissions, inspections, or dealership crap; DON'T WANT TO HAVE ANY REASON FOR EVER TAKING THEM OFF!

I'm not sure how the emissions inspections are done there on the new vehicles, but here they plug the truck into their computer do a scan of some sort, un-plug it and have a nice day, no sniffer in the butt like they do with older vehicles. Of course that is once the truck is over 5 years old, before that it is exempt from having to be checked.

Yeah, I just got a ticket for expired plates; I had no idea even though I clean it every Saturday for the most part. Anyway, I had the emissions/inspection and they simply plugged into the ECU and were completed in a few seconds. Dealership would not pass it because of my tinted film and paint on my exterior lights; whatever. So, as long as cutting 2 cats and using a fake signal won't hurt my truck, the Headers are looking good.
I am not ruling out my Unichip because I haven't given it a chance yet; however, I have a friend who owns his own speed shop who can possibly do a group buy on the Diablos when they become available. I am sending a message to get the details on how to go about a group buy perfectly as I don't want any threads removed or damage to my name.

Yeah, I had no cats on my previous Dodge with o2 Sims with no problems. All the o2 Sim does is tell the computer the cats are functioning properly, even if there are no cats.
Hope that helps...
Tiger; did you find anybody that can do a custom tune on your Unichip yet? I hope to be taking mine to Birmingham, AL soon to have it tuned by Hesco.
This is the part that sucks about living in California! I want the LT so bad.
I'm trying to devise a way to get LT, move the primary cats back, and extend the factory O2 sensor so that it's still behind the primary cats. I remember reading that someone on here has already done this. My concern with this is if it will affect the performance of the LT and of course visual inspection.

I might be interested in meeting up with you in AL depending on price, date and how the Unichip responds today and the next few days after installing it in about 4 hours.
Later...

Too bad you can't get your truck licensed in another state!

Thank GOD I dont have emissions here in Florida. With the LT's you have to remove the first set of catz, and the rears are there to check the performance of the fronts. I fthe dyno graphs up on my post titled DT Longtubes before and after dyno, check them out and see the power curve.

Actually, it's Federally enforceable backed by the Clean Air Act. I've heard penalties from $2,500 to $10,000 for messing with any emission control device (i.e. moving cats).
Damn it! Hmmm, what if I don't move the cats and cut the LT short? I'll need to look into this.

Unichip brought me to a 5.8 and 6.0 in the 0-60 tonight. That is about .4 to .5 better than without it. I can't wait to get it to a track, but Gateway is closed for the season.
I am leaning towards the headers as I don't see myself spending $4200. Perhaps some day I will have a car or truck that will run 10s with a supercharger instead of 13s.....
