Default Camburg Trail Series 3.0, what is it

I bought a LROR 3/1 level kit and installed it last weekend. I have since been second guessing my decision. I keep reading more and more post regarding ball joint problems.

Not sure if the 2010 model truck will have all those same problems or not.

I am thinking I might go with the Camburg Ball Joint UCA and the 5100 shock. I want the 3 inches of lift because I like the way the truck looks with it.

Does anyone know what the "Trail Series 3.0" kit from camburg includes. It says it has the UCA and a long travel 5100 shock. Is that the same shock that I can buy elsewhere or is it a special shock.

The kit from Camburg is $895. However I can buy the UCA and the 5100 separeately from Wheelers for $628. What am I missing?

On a side note, why can I not just get the Camburg UCA with my spacer kit?

Thanks.

The camburg kit is special long travel bilsteins, front and rear, with the fronts being ride height adjustable, and the ball joint uca. Apparently the ball joint uca is not designed to work with spacer lifts (I too have the LRO kit), but I dont know what the explanation is to why. You might try emailing scott@camburg, hes usually pretty helpful and would get you the explanation youre looking for.

By the way, Ive had the LRO kit on for about 18k miles with zero issues, trucks been offroad and the suspension has been completely articulated.

Thanks, I don't think I will do anything anytime soon, but keep a close eye on things.

The internet being what it is you always hear about the horror stories but not about all the success stories.

In hindsight, I would probably have stepped up to the Camburg solution and saved my ReadyLift money. So far I am happy but, I'm now looking at the Camburg coilovers .....

Youre not alone. Ive decided on the camburg ball joint ucas, just trying to decide between the camburg, sway-a-way or toytec coilovers.

I just got this response from Scott at Camburg.

QUESTION:
"I have a 2010 Toyota Tundra DC 4x4.
Can I use your Ball Joint UCA with a 3" spacer kit.
If not, can you give a brief description of why?
"

ANSWER:
"I don't see a problem using our upper arm with a spacer of that size.
You run into problems when people try and combine spacers with
coilovers, etc."

I was set on camburg ball joint ucas to compliment fox coilovers, but my 20" toyota wheels have too much backspacing. Would have to get new wheels which furthers the pricetag. If you're using stock wheels check your BSing

I only will be running about 1.5" of lift so maybe I can do without.

MHollack, you planning to install those yourself or take somewhere local to do it?

So far Ive done everything myself, so dont see why this time would be different. Ive already enlisted mxsjw to help.
