Poop. I got the 20" platinum rims off the Sequioa (which have the same offset as my 18's I had on) with Cooper Zeon LTZ's. I'm a little disappointed. I don't know what they did but the front wheels look sucked in and the 275/60/20 size looks kind of wimpy. Whats my best option? Put a wheel spacer on the front or just pony up and get the 305/55/20? I am racking my brain. Help me out!!!
If you like the overall look of it, try the wheel spacers. Just make sure you get the good quality ones. Hopefully someone will chime in on this. I got the factory 20's too and wish Toyota made them a little wider
The height is fine, its the width that makes it look wimpy imo. If I get the 305 it will at least stick out another .6" and maybe not make the front wheel look sucked in so much.

I have 305/55/20 on jti wheels that come with the xsp package. Don't know the offset but they come with in 1/4" of the uca. No rubbing but I did buy some 5mm wheel spacers just incase they do rub. check out WheelAdapter.com is your number one source for wheel adapters, wheel spacers, used wheels, and wheel studs. He is a old drag racer that makes good quality stuff. only thing to remember is that if you add a spacer you loose threads on the lugs. I test fitted my 5mm and still had 5 or 6 turns with the lug nuts.

This is just my opinion, but I think part of the problem could be the wheels. These wheels say luxury to me more then rugged. You have a rugged truck (lift, bull bar, etc.) and somewhat rugged tires, with luxury SUV wheels. I am not sure bigger tires will help.
I have the same tires as you, but with the limited Tundra Wheels. I feel my truck has the same problem as far as not rugged enough a wheel.

For what you want, try a spacer. Tires are too expensive to keep replacing $300 tires with pinch flats every time you hit a pot hole or road debris. And, will 6/10ths of inch really make enough difference to justify the cost?

Go with the bigger tire. I did the same thing. My first tire was too narrow. Went with the 305. The spacer won't solve your issue. You will still hate the look of the skinny tire....

For the people running the lower sidewall 305's, do you have any issues with pinch flats? Are you running aftermarket rims to offset the extra width?
I had Michelin CrossTerrains on the stock 20's which were a little narrow at 8" in width. The sidewalls were sucked into the rim and I got a lot of grief with rough roads that don't phase the Micheline LTX AT2's in a narrower 275/60.

The rears are pushed out by factory design, and I would say due to axle length..Some say because of better towing capability with the wider stance in the rear. Ask me I know..I am having my rear axles shortened because I am in the process of putting AirRide on mine, and the rears will not tuck, unless I do so.
