Default ExpeditionOne Front & Rear winch bumpers

Just bought and installed front and rear winch bumpers from Expedition One. Love them!!! Just waiting on some money for a front winch. I don't think I'm going to put a winch in the rear bumper though.

Those bumpers look great. Much better than the other offerings (ARB is the only other "off-road" bumper I like).

You can do as my buddy does and have a winch just move from hitch to hitch.

Do you think you could mount two 7" lights inside that hoop?

These are great bumpers. I had them on my FJ, and helped install one on my friends rubicon. James at Expedition One does nothing but the best work. I highly recommend them to anyone interested in any winch bumper.

They are set up to mount up to 3 8" lights under the hoop.

Thanks for all the compliments guys!! James and EXP1 have been awesome to deal with and I can't complain about their product at all!! Highly recommend them for aftermarket bumpers.

They look great!! I think if you blacked out the grill surround it would complete the look, but that's just my opinion of course.

I'm either going to do that or get it colormatched. I haven't decided yet. I don't want chrome on my truck!!!

How does this affect the air bags in a front end crash?

It "shouldn't". There are sensors now a days.

If you hit something hard enough to deploy the 'bags, they should still go off.

ARB does testing in this regard, but that seems to be more of an adveritising ploy toget you to buy their bumpers...

With that said, I think that by having a stronger bumper up front, it might switch the inertia around and potentially make the 'bags deploy at a few MPH later but I dunno since I've never been in a wreck with one on the front.

Quote:
I have had a Full front replacement on mine since I bought it. This last december another driver pulled tried to turn to soon in front of me. I totalerd his pontiac sun fire and pushed him through a small palm tree and some hedges. It totaled his car ....... when the police were done looking at the wreck sight I fired cummins up and backed out of the landscaping. The only thing it did to my truck was bend that bumper a little and crunched the left front fender. I will never own another truck without a full front replacement.

I had one on my old 98 and have one on my 01 right now. In my 12v'er, a mustang ran a stop sign and I T-boned him going 35 mph. It turned his car into a semi-cirlce and it pushed pushed my bumper back into the frame 4 inches, bending the frame and thus totalling my truck. I wasn't even wearing my seatbelt and I barely moved forward. My dog went from the back seat to the front seat and that was about it, no injuries for both of us.

I will never own another truck that doesn't have a full replacement on the front of it. I can gurantee you if I didn't have that bumper on during that wreck, myself and my dog would have been in worse shape than what happend.
Those come from this website:
