Default Scan Gauge? Does anyone use one?

Hi again - looking for a Scan-Gauge type instrument that can show MPG's, 0-60, 1/8, 1/4 times.... HP (if they even do this).... any of that crap.

I've never used one before, and I've never really been into hot-rodding enough to care. Reason I ask, is that I've been bitten by the Mod Bug and I want to see actual results from the mods I (am about to) do. That way, I can have an actual, factual basis besides the ol' Butt-Dyno, and of course, I'd be happy to share any & all findings. (I'm looking to add an intake, Headers, exhaust, sway-bar... God knows what else)

Any recommendations from my fellow TS brethren? Screw the old posts... I want the most current info.

Thanks in advance - as always, I appreciate all your input.

It's a good product, but the screen hasn't been updated in years and sucks. PLX Devices makes basically the same product that hooks up to the diagnostic port and looks a hell of a lot better. The PLX gives you more sensors on one screen, and the ability to select just one sensor and monitor just that one.

I looked up the info on the PLX - it looks like it's just for MPG, but not 0-60, 1/8, 1/4 times... unless I missed that.

Anyone heard of or had any experience with this "DashHawk" unit? MSD DashHawk Vehicle Information Display 13100 : eBay Motors (item 370258597426 end time Feb-07-10 13:12:37 PST)

According to the website, it's upgradeable, and although it's not listed, it does MPG's and the other speed measurements.

Here's another one that's supposed to do it all, plus show HP ratings. Anyone use this one before? http://www.jegs.com/p/Bully-Dog/Bull...67170/10002/-1

I've got the ScanGuage in my truck. Works great for all sensor data, but will not show 0-60 or 1/8 or 1/4 times. Plus the mpg calculator isn't real accurate (at least not in my truck).
