My order arrived today - just a few days after the order. Well packaged. Looks just like the CAD drawing and is heavy duty.

    Well done CivicFerio!!

Mine came today. I'm pleased at the snug fit on a 3/8 extension - very little play, just as it should be.
When folks go to change their filter and find the cap so tight the fluted wrench slips, this will get that cap off.
A simple, stout and well designed tool that'll last.
    Thanks, CivicFerio.

StevJ, do you have a craftsman 3/8th drive? I was unsure how precise other tool manufacturer are with there 3/8th and I was afraid that it may not go in.

    Any fitment issues anyone?

Got mine in the mail. Well packaged and quick delivery. This is a very high quality tool. I've had other filter wrenches with a 3/8" hole, but the tool couldn't stand up to numerous changes and the hole rounded off. This tool is much thicker and stronger. I haven't had any issues. I am very well pleased and strongly recommend it to others.

No Craftsman, but I tried it on all the extensions I have and it fit good and snug.
Used it yesterday to change my oil filter. It's a good snug fit at those tangs on the housing.
And it gets real close to the front sway bar as the housing is unscrewed, so I removed it after it was loose enough to turn by hand, so as not to scrape the paint off the bar.

Great idea, I should check my 2010 Trail Edition 4 Skinner to see if this tool will work on it as well. I have a Crew Max 5.7 as well.

May have to order one, I'm in So Cal.

To the posters who use another tool for their oil changes, that's great but what does that bring to this guys thread? Oil changes have been discussed ad nauseam on this forum this guy just came up with a different idea, good on him

i dont get it. if you cant beat it off with a big f'ing hammer, why not buy this replacement housing? you wont ever have to worry about having a special tool, or someone else screwing it up from not having the right tool ever again!

One of the best inventions... I got mine last week, good looking and very strong build. Today was my first time changing the oil and oil filter for my truck. I'm at the 20,000 mile mark. The past three oil changes were through the dealership and those basters forgot two screws for the skid plate. Anyways, I have the hard plastic oil filter cap, and boy, this device hooked and turned like it was manufactured for each other. Nothing bad to say about this device, great job...
