    Default 2011 Tundra Price

Been trying to decide between a new Tundra and Tacoma and have decided on the Tundra. I have found a leftover 2011 Tundra DC 4wd, TRD, 5.7 liter, Bedliner, and cold weather package. I have gotten the price down to $31,950 with an out the door price of $33,468(including taxes and dealer/DMV fees). Does this sound like a reasonable deal?

I just purchased a new 2011 a month ago. IMO, if you can get a minimum 19-20% off the **window-sticker** MSRP I'd say you're doing pretty good. It may have changed in the last week or so, but in January, Toyota was not advertising any obvious incentives on the 2011's. However, rest assured each region was offering their dealers some substantial "under-the-table" (and not so obvious) money to move these few remaining 2011's. Good luck! I love my '11!!

I felt the price was pretty good myself since it is new. I have been seeing several used 2011 Tundras similarly equipped sell in the $30 k range in my area.

Sounds like the MSRP is probably around 36k?If so then take it from,I'm a dealer in NJ thats a very good deal.Sounds like they just want to move it cause it's an 11.I had 4 2011's left.I marked everyone done to the bare bones and they sold within a week cause everyone that bought them recognized what a deal they were getting.Gotta move the older inventory. At the end of the day though you have to feel comfortable with the deal,it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.Good luck

According to the USAA buying service you can buy a similarly equipped 2012 (not 2011) Tundra in Norfolk/VA Bch, VA, with an MSRP of $36,900 for $32,400 (includes the current $2250 rebate). When you consider the fact the dealer has at least a $3000 markup on this truck, $32,400 (including $2250 rebate) is a reasonable offer that most **volume** dealers (in larger metro areas) would honor for a cash deal with no trade-ins. The dealer is still making at least $750 on this truck. This is only $500 more than your similarly equipped 2011.

Last month (Jan), dealers in the OK City & Dallas area were discounting their few remaining 2011's with an MSRP of $33k-$35k, $6,000-$6,500---they went quick. These prices were online, advertised pricing, so no haggling required. I received a similar discount on the 2011 2WD 5.7 DC that I purchased in Missouri last month. Unfortunately, haggling was required for my deal (smaller dealer), but it was worth the time, money, and effort.

Like toyotaphil said, you have to feel comfortable with the deal--doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. FWIW, I thought I'd just pass on to you this little bit of perspective that I gained during my search for a 2011 last month.

    Again, good luck!!
