    Post 33" tires vs 35"tires

Did a search on a couple different places and couldn't find a thread dedicated to this so I figured why not make one. People are always giving there two cents about 3/1 lifts with 33 inch tires or if one should go with 35 inch tires. So here is place to give your opinion and
post pictures of your setup, 33 or 35. Then we will see which one really looks better with a 2 or 3 inch leveling kit. Guys with bigger lifts, go ahead

and post yours to so we can see the bigger lifts. Be sure to put what size lift and what size tires your pics are of for reference. Let the Pics see who wins. Ready Set Go

    Well...
    Here lies a problem...
Just because you have the lift does not mean you can have a bigger tire. Your suspension still goes all the way up until it bottoms out on the bump stops.

So just because you can have a bigger tire because you have a lift, it does not mean you can have that tire actually fit when you are bottoming out.

The tires we run on our personal truck are 35s... but we have fiberglass fenders... with out those fenders, we would hit big time.

We have about a 3 inch lift. But we also have long travel. Going from 10 inches of travel to 16 is quite the jump.
At the end of the day though, our trucks suspension is still bottoming out at the same location.

Here is some photo just for kicks though.... =-)

here is a video, a short one... of the truck bottoming out. You can see the tire becomes fully stuffed into the wheel well. A wheel well that is opened up a LOT!

33's will be fine but I love the look of 35's.Check out pics in my album,3 an 1 Toytec leveling kit with 35's.Gotta take off the small wheel fairings mounted just infront of the front tires attatched to the bumper cause the tires will rub them. They are mounted by 2 small screws each and very easy to remove. They are there to deflect airflow down and around the front wheels but the effect on fuel mileage is minimal.Good luck
