Default Husky Liners Weather Beater REVIEW!!!!!!

I was in the market for a set of all weather floor mats for my 2011 Tundra. I did a ton of research and finally settled on the Husky Liners Weather Beaters. I was seriously considering the Weathertech's but one thing that bothered me was the lack of coverage/protection under the Gas Pedal.

Well after 2 weeks I must say WOW! These things are amazing! I would highly recommend them to anybody who's in the market for All Weather Mats.

I love the interior of my truck (Light Grey) but man that light color is just begging to be stained. That's what I love about the Weather Beaters. They protect nearly everything! I also LOVE the fact that the rear mats is a single piece that wraps around the entire rear floor board.

They are very well made and have aggressive teeth on the underside for maximum grip so they aren't sliding all over the place.

I purchased these from Amazon.com with my Prime account. I had them in 2 days. I paid $116.13 for the set SHIPPED to my door.

Amazon.com: Husky Liners 98592 WeatherBeater Grey Custom Fit Front and Second Seat Floor Liner Set: Automotive

The correct Part # is: 98592

    Thank you kind sir!

I noticed that when I was researching the mats I had a hard time finding a post with all the info in a single post. Hopefully I accomplished that with my Review.

    Pics always help too!

Here's some pics of the Weathertechs (front only) in black (with light grey carpet) in case anyone was interested in a comparison.

Yes, that is exactly whey I went with the Husky's.

Weather Tech makes quality products but for the Tundra my personal belief is that the Husky Liners are superior in design.

I can certainly see why some prefer the Husky. It does offer some advantages over the Weathertech like better coverage around the pedals and better grip on the backside to prevent slippage.

However, I'm involved in quite a bit of saltwater watersports and find myself getting into my truck with *very* wet, soaked watershoes. For my use I find the Weathertech's extra overhang coverage over the door sill does a much better job of keeping water from getting underneath the mat and soaking the carpet. The Husky offers much less protection in this area. If you pour water over the Husky near the door sill area, a significant amount of water will hit the door sill and then flow underneath the Husky floor mat onto the carpet. Ask me how I know In many ways the Husky offers more value than the Weathertech; however, IMO it falls short in this one important area.

Those are all very good points! Thanx for pointing that out. I didn't even think about those who participate in Water Sports.

That's what makes this place so great! So many different views, objectives and experiences.

I guess that it mostly depends on your individual usage. The Weather Tech's clearly have more coverage on the outside edge as you pointed out.

The nice thing is that as consumers we have two really nice options to choose from to fit our individual needs.

    Thanx for your response!

Yes the Weather Beaters are simply Awesome!

I would definitely buy them again if I had to. They haven't even broken it and fully molded to the contours of the truck yet. Once they do they will fit even better.

I have WeatherBeater also. I considered WeatherTech, but the biggest issue that deterred me from purchasing it was the front passenger side liner (which apparently slides around a lot). I also like the fuller coverage in the back. Four children, muddy snow/slush, and a very happy dad.

I've had the Weatherbeaters in (front and rear) for almost a year now and have no complaints. They have done a great job containing the winter mud/slush that three kids and two adults track in. The fit is excellent and once they are installed they don't move at all.
