    Default Rear differential fluid change

I have a 2008 Tundra 4x4 and have about 65k miles on it. I have neglected to change the rear differential fluid and am a little worried that I might have gone too long before changing it but anyways im going to be taking care of it this weekend. I know it takes about 4qts of 75w90, but my question is whether its safe to go to full synthetic at this point since my truck already has this many miles on it. Thanks.

Of course it is, as long as the oil meets specifications.

It will be fine to use Full Syn. I think Toyota says to change it out at 60K miles anyway...

Just changed mine today. 4 ots is real and I waited till 77 k. No real issues. Get ready to shell out about 10.00 a quart however. 75/90 is a synthetic so enjoy.

    Why not?

I changed mine at 20K and went full synthetic because a third of my driving involves towing a travel trailer.
