Default Help with tailgate removal - tailgate assist???

    Hello,

Well, I will admit, I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I just don't want to screw something up, so... I have a 2012 with back up camera and tailgate assist. I see where I UN plug the camera for tailgate removal, but do I need to do anthing different for the tailgate assist? I took my tailgate off my 2003 all the time, but I'm afraid with this assist thing, I'll lift the tailgate off and parts will go flying...lol, obviously I have NO idea how it works.

    Any advice/help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

So, other than UN plugging the camera, it "should" be as simple as my old one? I just thought for sure the tailgate assist thing would make it more difficult? LOL, I don't have to understand how it works, as long as I can take it off and on and it STILL works, that's all I care.

    Thanks!

Listen to the man.......it's like any other tailgate you've ever removed:

Now slide it to the right and you're done!!!
