    Default Gray Sleeper

Well here are some pix of my sleeper. I bought her back in 07 and have had my run of bad luck with her. But she just won’t give up so I keep throwing money at her to “improve” her. Shes a SCSB 5.7 SR5 2 wheel drive. I am still up in the air on what the next mod will be. Tell me what you guys think.

It’s been said that being the fastest truck on the road is like being the smartest kid on the short bus….. Well I guess I am that guy.

I have no delusions of being the fastest on the road, but I think she will run with them (road legal).

Here is a list of mods:
    1. Blower
    2. Upgraded fuel system (fuel rails, injectors, pumps)
    3. Short headers
    4. Auburn LSD
    5. Lowered 2.24” front 5.50” in the back. Air bags to set ride height and keep the wheels down.
    6. Cams
    7. Gears 410 upgrade over the stock 410s.
    8. De-balled cats
    9. Stainless steel exhaust.
More has been done but this list gets you a good idea. O and a V6 badge adds 50 hp to the sleeper look.

Sick truck. Love the sleeper look. I am going back to my stock steelies also in my DCSB. Amazing how the SC transforms these trucks.
My favorite mods after the SC are 1). Shift Kit 2). Bigger crank Pulleys 3). Killer Chiller.
You can also do the stock air box mod, noticeable difference for me. Track tested.

    BHLM... maybe fog lights...

Not really sure what performance modds you need...

Thanks for the props guys. Did you notice any difference with the Killer Chiller? I could see how if we could tune our trucks this would make a big difference. Back in 07 I played around a lot with the CRY02 systems. I noted a small increase in power but nothing to write home about only on the dyno but nothing I could feel. This would be along the same goal, cooler air in the cylinders.

Ok watched this video Killer Chiller Temp test - YouTube and see that this has merit. Do you have a link for your build or are they offering a kit for our trucks now? Or is this a one off?

This is the first kit installed in a Tundra, it is a universal kit that they offer, and comes with everything needed for the install. I did a thread about it on TG. So far i have been impressed with it. It will not add power but will prevent timing from being pulled.

What were your 1/4 mile times?

I have been trying to post more pix but this comp is not cooperating right now. I will show the slip from the strip and the dyno sheet. Don’t want any haters calling Shenanigan’s! LOL They still will.

    i would recommend more boost!
how are you controlling your fuel system?
is your injector duty cycle in the 80% range yet?

the best method is: more air, more fuel, even more air, even more fuel, jaw dropping amount of air, KaBOOOM!
    sorry thats the domestic version!

Just type your results from your timeslip. People will only call BS if and only if it is really BS.

10.8 at 147 mph is a number people call BS on till you show you slip and 668 to the ground is a hard number to swallow. That’s on a mustang dyno. I say too much I need pix. MWhahahaha……..

Jbroas these cams where made for this motor. Was a little problematic at first, we got some strange things to happen with them. Like compressed springs, dinted lifters, leaned out the fuel curve hence the bigger injectors. This is one of the many reasons I want Toyota to release the choke hold they have on us and give up the codes. I want to tune the thing. As far as the learning computer goes they can keep it.
    1) Brand. Custom one off
    2) Price. A whole lot of trading between we and the shop.
    3) PITA to install? Lol on these trucks what’s not a PITA?
    4) Issues?? List above.
    5) Bottom line.. what kind of performance? Hard to say with the issues that poped up we had to change other things so it’s hard to say what made the power difference. I can tell you sounds cool once you hit about 5.1 rpms on up. Over all the other noises from under the hood comes a sound I will describe as “lots of chains ringing against each other”. Other then top end the cams don’t make a notable change in the sound. I can talk to my buddy about another set and what it would cost. But I am sure he’d say not worth the time, money, or aggravation.
