Default Loose steering when hitting umps under 40 mph

Does anyone else have a loose feeling or sloppy steering wheel when hitting small bumps? I have 2012 CM and I noticed something loose when hitting bumps it may even be in the steering linkage or suspension. Its all stock and 1500 miles???? My 2007 and 2010 did not have this issue.

Sounds like something that would be worth having the dealer take a look at. If nothing else that would create a record that there was a problem if something happens later on.

I have a 2012 platinum and have the same problem! Mine is also bad at hyw speed when going over rough pavement. It feels unstable and unpredictable. I had the dealership check the front end suspenssion and shocks with no luck. I've got the tires changed and an enlignement... Still no luck!
I'm thinking that the dealership missed something.

I think that's called bump steer, either the inner or the outer tie rod ends needs to be rerplaced to fix the problem.

You can usually check a steering looseness with2 people. One turning the steering with wheels on ground and the other checking tierods and other steering parts.

an alignment and good tire pressure will do wonders.
tie rod ends and bushings are the second step.

I have an 08 rcsb, and that pretty much sums up the handling of my truck on anything but smooth roads. Haven't been able to find anything wrong.

I'm hoping when I switch from OEM to Michelins, and maybe add a TRD rear sway bar, things will improve. Otherwise, the driving experience doesn't inspire confidence in adding a supercharger.

Same for me!! I just got the truck about 3 weeks ago and had them check everything suspenssion includding shocks. I had an enlignement done and even swaped the tires.

Driving on a nice smooth road it has no issues but as soon that there are bumps I can't keep it on a strait line. The truck feels really unstable and unpredictable.

I need help with this! I would have expected thing like this from a Gm or Ford but never from a Toyota! Seems like the dealership can't figure it out so they say it's normal... Bunch of crap if you ask me!
Any help would greatly be apreciated!
