Mine is a 5301. I love it. It is 2 way but does not have the LCD screen. Just an audible and light. I just dont feel the need to pay the extra for the screen or rechargeable battery. I am ok with buying a couple of 3 dollar batteries once a year. But definately get the 2 way.
2012 Crewmax TRD 5.7, 4x4, 15% tint all around plus sunstrip. Ionic Gladiator running boards. Weathertechs front and rear. Line X, AVS vent visors. Viper 5301 2 way remote start, MBRP S5316304 cat back exhaust.
Traded in my 05 4x4 DC, AFE CAI, Magnaflow Catback15820, Line X bedliner.
I'm gonna be installing the Viper 5704, I want all the windows to roll down/up [window module 530T(2x), 529t (1)], Xpress Databus, Ultrasonic sensor, With the smart start.
If you just want the remote start and the basic alarm you can just do the Viper 5704.
I got the 4704 and love it.
I decided on the Viper 5701v with the by-pass module. Getting it installed 1/24. Used EBates Coupons, Promo Codes and Cash Back Savings - Ebates.com
to get 2.5% cash back (you also get a sign up bonus from EBates if you are not already a member)
Out-the-door installed for about $575. Thanks for all the input.
p.s. EBates has cash back for MANY online retailers That we all use. Not a ton of money, but it adds up![]()

I have the Viper 4704 and LOVE it.
Plus free install from Best Buy (it took the guy like 6 hours to install).
Best Buy is 45 mins from home and they don't open 'till 11am so I will be there ALL day. Trying to decide if I need to add glass break sensor?

I just order the same model, and been trying to find a good DIY but have not been able to, can you plase care to share if you will be intalling it or you will have someone installing it for you, and if you are, what good info or diy you have so i can follow, TIA
The $575 included 5701V,databus, install, and "parts" fees. I talked to the installer for over an hour and he seemed to be very knowledgeable about the install. With all the electronic ghosts in these vehicles, I will let the pros do the install.

Be careful I bought my wife one for Christmas on her 2011 4Runner and it's been at Toyota for a week waiting for a new ECU since the unit fried it. I had it installed by Car Toys and they said it wasn't them but it's obvious it was, the piece they use to trick the ECU was the culprit we think. I spoke with the installer before as well and he was a master installer and knew what he was talking about as well.
Thanks - I was told by an installer in Austin that I would need one, and I didn't want to f#$# with the dealer and pay another 75 bucks for a key I would never get to use.

For those that already have this, can you change settings like beep/ no beep, run time, lights on/off, etc?
