2013 Tundra - what did you pay?

In late November 2012, I bought a 2013 DC 4.6l 2WD, sticker was right around $30,000, for $24,500, less my trade, plus Tax, Title and Tags.

Go to TrueCar.com and work up the options you want, they were pretty close, but I still paid about $700 less than they priced it at.

I bought a 2013 Tundra CrewMax SR5 TSS 4.6L 4x2 w/ towing pkg and XM in silver with 20" wheels, step bars and billet grill and with dealer installed black leather a week and a half ago. It stickered for $40,777. They gave me a $3000 rebate for getting a CrewMax. Then, another $2000 rebate for the TSS package. Then they worked on the price and I got it down to $34,500. After trading in my 2010 Honda Ridgeline (no negative comments please) dealer gave an additional $3000 over payoff. So that got me down to $31,500. Not bad for starting out over $40K!

That's less than I paid for the Ridgeline!

Thanks for the responses so far. Sticker price is helpful because there are so many different options for the Tundra and it's helpful to compare apples to apples.

Anyway, I drove a '13 5.7 4WD dbl cab, tow pkg, convenience pkg, entune w/ navigation with a sticker of $35,985, offered $29,852. Thoughts?

Do yourself a favor and go to Official Kelley Blue Book New Car and Used Car Prices and Values (Kelly Blue Book). Enter in your new car information, select the options, and it will tell you what MSRP is and Dealer Invoice. Obviously the dealer pays below invoice, because they get incentives and other discounts. Tell the dealer you'll pay invoice, and then after agreeing to that price, apply your factory rebates. That will make things quick, easy and fair for both parties. You can spend hours or days haggling for a lower price, but in the end you'll only save a few more hundred dollars.

I personally don't like the Navigation. You have to install and update with a USB stick because the map data gets revised/corrected, etc. Google Maps on my smart phone works way better than the built-in navigation in any vehicle. Does the price of $29,852 include the $3,000 factory cash rebate? Do you have to finance through Toyota? How many miles are on it? Does it come with carpet or all-weather mats? Does it come with bucket seats or a bench seat?
I agree with Northwest. That's what I did when I bought my Tundra. If I sold my truck in a year with 15,000 miles on it, I'd brake even.

I've read quite a few negative reviews on the Toyota nav system. I initially thought the entune w/ nav automatically included the upgraded JBL stereo but that's not the case.

To answer your questions, the truck is brand new and that price does include the $2500 rebate for dbl cab. It has the bench seats. They have another one in Spruce Mica for $29,225 without the entune stereo.

bought '13 SR5 with tow, a few upgrades on interior at dealer cost using Costco purchase program. 30.1k includes all the crap. Might could have worked outside the costco program for a few dollars less...bought the truck over the phone with no time wasted, came in and got it and left in about 45 min. I used to beat the crap out of whoever i was buying from and it's just gotten old. Gimme my vehicle at 1000 under invoice and throw in a few options at cost and I'm good.

Just got my 13 CM SR5, tow package and a few extras for 32. Sticker was 41,400. I also have usaa so that helps a bit.

I bought in December, and for a '13 Double Cab, 4x4, Tow Package, etc, MSRP $32,800, I paid $27,900 on a cash deal. That's out the door, including everything except for state sales tax (which was an extra $1500).

Just bought a 2013 CM RW 5.7 4x4. MSRP was $42,890. I paid $34,970 including $2750 rebate+ttl and an $80 doc fee.

I shopped around and felt like the price was fair. I was having two dealers compete and went with the lowest offer (which was with my local dealer).

So far I love the truck!
