Default HELP!!! How to improve MPG on my Tundra

I Have a 2013 Tundra with a 6" procomp suspension lift with 35"x 12.5 x 20 tires and my gas millage is horrible.I'm getting about 200 miles to the tank which adverages about 10MPG. Is there anyone out there that can tell me how to improve it without removing the tires and lift?

Has your odometer / speedometer been adjusted for the change in tire size? If you are calculating miles per gallon, and your odometer is off, you are getting bad information.

Remove the lift and oversized tires.

I have a lift and larger tires and I get better than 10. Are the miles all city like stop and go, or any interstate? I would say I get between 12-14 in the city and about 18-19 on the interstate but I have to keep the speed around 70. Do you drive aggressively or try to get better mileage?

The best way to increase the mileage is to drive your wifes Corolla.

I ride my motorcycle. Even at 30mpg (which is a little low for a bike) its twice the mpg's as the tundy. Now, just to get some studded tires for winter.

Fab some sheet metal and install along side your under cab and trunk will help keep wind drag down. I am thinking of this but have no time and how to start the project yet. Or remove the carbon filter, Myth , work or not maybe but it did me no harm beside Mother Earth so I remove it.

Some 2012-2013 Tundras have had problems with their ECMs which causes poor gas milage.
Look in the sticky threads under TSBs. The dealer has to recalibrate the ecm.
It could be the problem. Did you have such bad mpgs before the mods were done?

Anything over 65 will suck gas, especially with upped wheels and lift. Get a GPS to see if your speedo is off and therefore throwing off your calculations. Try to find some non-ethanol fuel. Take any extra load out, don't carry more weight than you have to.

    And release the e-brake

Yes the Odometer is off when you get to about 50mph its off about 4mph. I downloaded a app on my phone that has a tripometer on it and i relized every 12 miles i go i lose 1 mile. That could be a big part of the problem i'm really going more miles than what the tripometer is saying. Have you ever heard of anyone fixing the speedometer cause the person I talked to at the dealer said that toyotas cant be fixed I thought he was blowing smoke up my ass..
