Try driving in Atlanta for a day That will be the true test of patience I usually go Insane and use my middle finger as anger management ...
Atlanta? Never been but I live in San Diego and while it's not as bad as LA, it still sucks...traffic that is. And the middle finger or the big "C" sign if it applies is common here. Usually they just give it right back to ya.
Yeah, that quote was off-base,but it still had some good reading.I'd never heard of that forum,so thanks for posting it...............now if I just had the money to buy a Lexus.

My impression was that the truck was distinctive looking, but not unfamiliar, it's a truck that looks like its built to work. When 400hp and 10000lbs towing capacity was shown on the presentation screen beside the truck, the place erupted.
I have also heard somewhere that the rear door handle was turned. maybe, just maybe, this could have something to do with the mysterious handle placement on the rear door of the spy pics photos.
400hp and 10k towing sounds good, however I hope they take it further and build a 3/4 ton or 1 ton truck.
The problem is that it is easy to get a truck's towing capacity up, heck the f-150 in certain configurations is rated at at or around 9,900 lbs. towing. Other 1/2 ton trucks have similar towing capacities ie: the Titan at 9,400. Yet these trucks have limited cargo carrying capacities. The Titan only has a cargo weight capacity of 1,322 in some configurations!. By the time you hook the trailer up (remember the tongue weight counts too) and load up people you are going to start to push the vehicles limits. I hope Toyota stays aware of this. A 1/2 ton fits the bill for a lot of folks, but if Toyota wants to be a serious player in the truck market they need a heavy duty pickup too.
A lot of us need a truck that can both tow a large trailer plus carry passengers and cargo in/on the truck. I dont' think some people give much thought to the GCWR etc. I know that with my Tundra I am pushing the GVWR more than I would like. I owned the truck before I purchased my current trailer, and while I am within the "safe" zone, I still would like more cushion. Heck they most precious thing I carry in my truck is my family. Furthermore, I may move up to a larger (heavier) trailer. That is why I am thinking about purchasing a 3/4 or 1 ton truck in order to add to my safety cushion.
If Toyota chooses not to offer these larger trucks then I will have to reluctantly purchase a domestic.

I really hope Toyota takes the new Tundra to the next level. I too have a travel trailer that is in the "safe" zone, but am hesitant to go any larger with the current Tundra. For many, if Toyota does not come out with a heavier duty tundra, a change to a domestic is the only choice. I hope that's not necessary.

WTF?!?!?!? Why would Toyota put that on the new Tundra? That would look so dorky. Thats the last thing the new Tundra needs is some kind of design quirk. Its bad enough with the bashing from the domestic owners now. Although I haven't seen a real pic to judge, I can only imagine how dorky it will look. And what's the point anyway. Hoefully somebody (AHEM...TUNDRAV8GEORGIA...AHEM) can elaborate a little more on this possibility. C'mon Toyota, don't screw up the new Tundra. Don't make it a flop like the Ridgeline.
It seems brand bashing is a way of life to some folks, heck I get ridiculed everyday about owning a tundra (foriegn junk)working in a union plant but I keep telling them gm hasn't changed their style since I owned my 99 gmc and the ford I test drove had no power and a vibration problem I was real serious about the titan (boy what a close one) dodge didn't have enough rear room so a used tundra double cab happened to be on the lot the day we had went to test drive a tacoma so the tundra won out and my wife and I are pleased so far at this time, if it holds up like our 97 lexus sc400 my expection will have been achieved the engines are almost identical and I have run the he-- out of the lexus so far no problems just hit 70,000 on it, only 5,000 on the 04 tundra both de-badged
