Just found this site while looking for some technical opinions. I recently traded my 2003 Tundra for a new 2008. No comparison between the two other than driving comfort and durability. They improved everything when they truely went full-size.

I live in the NE and a lot of trucks are really bad in winter. I would like people who have both to give advice. also if anyone has the limited slip. Thanks in advance
I was in the same situation back in January of this year. I drove an older model (06) and an 08 model. There is no comparison. The 08 blew me away. The salesman told me the only thing that is similar between the new Tundras and the older ones is the the name Tundra. If I were you, I would test drive both models. You will see what I am talking about.
I love driving my 08 Tundra. I look for excuses to go out. lol!

Hi All,
I am a new member. I have been reading the the postings on this site for a while and I decided to join up. I have a 08 Tundra Crew Cab. I'm looking to add a few things to the truck.
One of the main questions I have is whether adding the TRD Exhaust would increase my gas milage?

Used this site to research Tundras before buying. Just took delivery of my Super White 2009 DC last week. Gawsh I love this truck! Best looking truck on the market. I'm a long-time Silverado owner, and the Toyota's features, looks, performance, and value made me jump.
Thanks for all the great posts! Down here in Austin we love us some trucks!

Just signed up because I saw all the owners and all the suggestions. Good stuff! My name is Troy from So. Cal and I have a 2005 Tundra DC. I need help with some info. I understand that the Tundra comes equipped with an alarm system, but may not be hooked up. Is that true? Does anyone know? I called Toyota and they tell me that it will have to be installed. Others told me that this is Toyotas way of saying, "Give us a lot of money and we'll put the two connectors together." I'm confused. Any insights?

Hi. Just found this site like a lot of you. Bought a small boat/trailer. 2700 pounds. My Windstar will tow it but I don't want to go long distances with it and don't want to get stuck on any boat ramps.
I like the Tundra, about '07 is what I can afford. Need opinions on V6 vs. V8. I'm not pulling or hauling a lot of weight and don't go long distances with the boat very often. With gas starting to shoot up again I don't want to break the bank. So, when I found this site I thought I might get some feedback.
I like the 4x4. Big cab. My mechanic recommends Toyota over Ford, which I have owned for years.
Hope I can get some good advice.

New to this site and new to trucks since this is my first ever. Have had it since Dec 07 and pushing 27K. Love it, happy with it, named it, and plan to drive it til the wheels fall off....and then buy a new pair.

Howdy, new to the TS forums. Recently bought a new to me '07 SR5 CrewMax, 5.7L, 2WD, I have already logged over 5K miles in under two months, so far so good. I use my truck to tow my boat, I have a place on the Lower Colorado River, a place called Lake Martinez, it is 30 minutes north of Yuma Az.. Looks like a fun site with lots of info, happy to be here...

Big Sarge here from North Carolina. I've got a 2000 with over 200K miles, still runs great, just needs tires. Is there a forum for these older Tundra's? Glad to be a newbie here.
