hey guys i just joined here. i own a 2000 tundra 4x4 limited TRD with access cab. white paint with gray interior. bought it new.
sold it to my dad 2 years ago, but he gave it back to me when my grandfather died last month. grandfather had a 2001 tundra RWD SR5 black access cab, my dad owns that one now.
anyway, my uncle was at my house and he noticed i had an exhaust leak and it sounds like its in the left side exhaust manifold...also notice a ticking sound when i first start driving it then when it warms up it quiets down. maybe the exhaust leak doin that. hope its not lifter taping or somethin worse. its been doin it for a while even when i had it before my dad did.
maybe i find a thread on this subject here at this site...

anyway hello everyone.

Hello everyone. I've got a white 2008 Double cab with tan interior and wood dash and console. I love my truck. I previously owned a Titan and had plenty of problems with the brakes, so I traded it in. I have 13K on it now and I perform all of my own maitenance.

I look forward to learning tips and tricks here.

Nice to meet everyone,
Mike

Hampton Roads checking in. We bought an '08 Sequoia Limited a few months ago. It was a demo, and has been a great vehicle so far.

We also own a '97 4Runner with 160k miles.

hello all...

central georgia 2008 tundra crewmax limited... green <whatever they call this color> with the red rock leather interior...<wierd color for first 15 seconds, then... 'wow, this *is* cool looking'>...purchased new. trying to keep it new looking, but the urge to get off in the mud and brush just keeps pulling at my heart... so, i'm gently playing off road, despite only 2 wheel drive... buddy of mine bought the 08 ford f250 fully tricked out options, but everyone seems to like my truck better.... ah, toy - yo - ta!

New Member here,

Bought a 2008 Crew Max Black, 22 in TRD rims, duel exhaust, moonroof,SR5, Bed extender, auto start.

My first Pick Up and th truck is sweet, a little intimidated right now with length and ruining the rims and tires. Sounds good.

Anyone who can show me how to set up a rear camera I would like that, That was the one option I wanted but the truck did not have. Can I set this up myself. Or do you have to run wires etc. I am not real good at that kinda stuff.

Take care

Hello, I am not a new member but a previous member who traded in his 2004 Double cab Sr5 Trd Tundra in 2006 for a 2001 4runner (backwards trade). After about 3 months I really missed her. Man, I really needed a truck and not an SUV. So now it's 2009 and I have been in the market for a 2nd generation tundra, maybe new, maybe used. So this week I found a sweet deal and jumped at it driveing over 4 hours to NJ to buy a 2007 5.7 SR5 TRD 4X4 Timberland Mica DC with only 15,031 miles on her for cheap ($18,000) plus my trade ($5000). Carfax came back perfect. She is beautiful and mean. I am very happy with my purchase and happy once again to be a Tundra owner. EggMan

I suppose I'll use up some server space by posting in here.

Hi.

We bought a 2010 double cab work truck last week.
5.7, 4.30:1 rear axle. I joined specifically to reasearch adding RKE and Intermittent wipe. Intermittent wipe is taken care of and mustang67408 is assisting with the RKE upgrade options. I did the HC air filter mod and am thinking about running a ram air tube of sorts from the right fog lamp delete to the air box through the inner fender. Anybody do this yet?

Thanks to everyone for offering up so much info.

Sounds good, post some pics when you do the mod.

My ram air tube comes from the lower grille, next to the license plate. Couldn't go through the fog lamp since I've got a bulb in there.

I haven't pulled the rt headlamp housing yet, but I also considered deleting the trim below the headlamp and replacing it with a screened ram air opening. My only concern is pulling in water during rain because it's pretty close to the filter housing. Any thoughts on this?

Hello,
My name is Bill and i am a Tundraholic, it has been 8 years since my last Toyota. I recently (today) had my truck scanned due CEI and the following code was shown.-P0161 O2 sensor heater circuit malfunction bank 2 sensor 2. I read the articles on these cunning little buggers and looked under my truck and noticed there are 2 after the cats, are these the culprits, if not where? Any advice

Thanks for having me

Bill

Sensor 1 is upstream, sensor 2 is downstream in relation to the catalytic converter. It's job is to monitor the cat for proper operation. Bank 1 is the forward bank on the engine. Find the #1 spark plug. This is bank 1. Your code was set by the bank 2 downstream oxygen sensor. You should view the datastream to verify what the sensor is reading. It could be a pinched wire, a bad connection, water in a connector, chafed wiring harness, a bad sensor etc., etc., etc.

Hi all,

Not a Tundra owner as of this hour, but hopefully things will work out and by the end of the end of the day I'll be able to post that I'm the proud owner of a great truck.

See ya in the funny papers!
