Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Tundra Owners Introduce Yourself He
I've been a member here for some time but only as a viewer. I used to own a 2007Tundra DC but sold it when I moved overseas. I liked the tundra so much that I decided to import one to where I moved since they are not offered in the local market (United Arab Emirates). I recently imported a 2007 RCSB red Tundra as a daily driver and have already started my mods
See you in the forum..

I have been utilizing TS to do research on products and parts for the past couple of months and am now a member...I bought a '08 Slate Metallic Crewmax Ltd. in January and shortly thereafter bought a color matched surround for the grille and a Belltech 2"/4" lowering kit (not installed yet)
I wanna thank the community for putting a lot of useful info on the site to assist us owners in making educated decisions and find products to do the right mods.
I'll have my crewmax lowered in a week or so after doing research on this site and and by x-mas should be running Bonspeed Huntington Wheels and a full intake overhaul (CAI, Headers, Exhaust) Thanks for the service

Hello! We just bought a 2010 Tundra CrewMax TRD Rock Warrior last week and thus far we absolutely LOVE it!!!
Lots of good stuff on the site! Can't wait to get started on some of the projects . . . I think the first will be the Sirius install in the upper glovebox that I found on here!

I have owned a 2008 Highlander since 3/08. In February, I noticed a rust spot on my car. Very surprised! I won't bore you with how dissatisfied I am. Has anyone else had issues with rust on a 2008 Highlander. Now today I noticed another spot. Not what I expected from a car only a year old and I can't believe how Toyota is saying it is unwarrantable. This was my first Toyota and I believe it will be my last. We usually keep our vehicles for many years so I can't imagine how horrible this is going to look after many years. Any advice or similar issues?

Either try a different dealer, ask for the zone rep contact phone number,....
...or, join the HAMB. They like the patina look over there.

Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Tundra Owners Introduce Yourself He
Another newbie here. I have an '05 Tundra, and am just now starting to work on it myself (it was nice there for awhile to not have to worry about it breaking down or anything).
What brought me here today is wobbly steering. I did a search of these forums, but must not be doing something right, because when I put "steering rack" or even "steering+rack" it just came back with looked like every single posting on every subject.
At about 58K miles (still under warranty then, and now it's 70K), the front end/steering didn't feel/sound quite right, so I took it to a mechanic with a great reputation (after being given an awful lot of run-around at the dealerships, for something not completely related). He just said "well, it's not brand new anymore". Didn't write anything on my receipt. It kept gradually getting worse, so I finally took a look myself today, and the steering rack is slopping back and forth and twisting, with steering wheel movement. I bet it's not supposed to do that... I am just so frustrated with all these ridiculous problems with this *Toyota*, Toyota formerly having such a good reputation, itself. And it's Saturday, and I can't talk to any of those people until Monday, but I don't expect them to say anything useful this time, either.
If anybody who has had a similar problem reads this, please gimme a shout.

I'm a newbie here.. Last weekend I purchased a new 2008 tundra with 45 miles on it. A dealer had it on his lot and it had not sold it. I'll take delivery this Friday after the dealer installs brushed SS running boards, 3M rock mask and a spray in bed liner.
This is my first pickup in about 10 years. The last one I owned was a 1976 3/4 ton 4 x 4 Chev. Pickups have really advanced since my last one and I can hardly wait to take delivery.
I've been watching is forum for quite some time and hope to be a contributor in the future.

Just joined the site, looks as though I'll get all the help I can here with everyone's word. I have a 2001 Tundra SR5 that I'm just trying to make somewhat nice for my first truck.
Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Tundra Owners Introduce Yourself He
Just joined. Proud owner of a 2010 Tundra Limited.
Top four things wish I could change:
1. Darker tinted windows for the Arizona heat
2. Better sound system - Too tinny for me
3. Bedliner
4. tonneau cover
As you can tell, I'll be making some changes, but overall I am enjoying my truck. Looking forward to using this site to help me make good decisions for 2, 3 and 4 above.
Bill

I have 40000 miles and haven't had a single glitch yet. i am in the service and currently in Iraq. i pull a 30' travel trailer i travel all over the northwest. The tundra makes my dodge ram preform like a old station wagon. It takes the mountain passes with ease. Cant wait to read and contribute to the forums
