New member, 2008 Toyota Tundra SR5 TRD 5.7L V8 Double Cab, Black and Chrome, purchased with trade in recently, so yes used, but well taken care of. tonneau cover, Nerf Step Up bars. Love the truck. Finding myself looking through forums to see what improvements I might be able to do to my truck, which could be an expensive hobby.
Interested in:
Improving MPG- changing stock exhaust to Magnaflow? increase pwr and gas mileage? Have heard of Tundra whining at 60-65 mph on forums. Ideas? Worth it?
Possible upgrade to a Navigation system radio- currently the 6 disk changer stock radio in it, nicety not necessity
Cargo storage dividers, netting, whatever for inside tonneau cover- looking for best and most fiscally responsible way to keep stuff from sliding around, and already has bed liner
K &N Air filter benefits????? Have heard all different responses to this question. Thoughts?
Looking for guidance as to what if any are necessary upgrades to current vehicle and am very happy with what I have. Just a kid in a candy store looking around for possible bright, flashy things to put on my new toy. Look forward to responses.

New member. Just bought my first Toyota truck. 2006 Tundra DC SR5 4X2. I am really happy with the purchase and plan to use this site to gather information first hand from other owners. This truck was a needle in a haystack. When do you find a car or truck that is 3 years old and has 13k miles.

Default New from S. Cali. 6" lift~22" Monsters~JBA headers~Banks exhaust, pics pics pics!

Was really going to go diesel. Narrowed down to an 08' F250 or an 07' H2500. They just seemed too big to maneuver around town.

Looked at the Titan...nope, just came out of a Frontier. Looked at a local Tundra, and it was easy from there. Then the search began. Found a smokin deal on sleazbay. Flew up to WA 4 weeks ago, and drove down through OR, which was breath takingly beautiful. Came with 33" Toyo MT w/ 20" Ultra Mammoth rims. Here's how it looked before the mod bug bit:

fast forward 4 weeks:

1. Pro Comp Stage II 6" lift
2. 22" Monster rims w/ 35" Toyo M/T
3. JBA ceramis shorty headers
4. Banks Monster exhaust
5. Volant CAI
6. Amp steps w/ LED kit
7. Halo projector headlamps
8. LED brake & tail lamps
9. 6K HIDs hi / lo / fogs(anytime) / reverse

I.C.E.
1. Kenwood 9140 headunit - incredible NAV / bluetooth / LCD screen
2. Avionixx 2000.1 & 250.4 amps - small compact digital amps
3. Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 component speakers - sweet
4. (2) 10" headrest monitors
5. 11" dash monitor - work in progress
6. Dynamat (4) doors, firewall, and rear wall.
7. RE SL 12" subs w/ tech12V box (en route)
8. Back up camera
9. P.A. system
10. Billet antenna
11. Sirus XM Radio

To do...for now!
1. De-bling f&r bumpers and color match w/ grill surrond, interior trim, and door handles.
2. Flat black grill & badge.
3. LED all interior bulbs including door handles.
4. Recess HID's flush into rear bumper
5. Recess HID's flush into front grill
6. LED cluster board and other buttons
7. Motorized retractable license plate...007 style!
8. Headlamp strobes
9. Leather / suede interior...maybe.

First Timer, just picked up last week a 2010 XS-P DC with a 4.6. So far I have changed the Rear View Mirrror and upgraded to the Home Link Compass version. JL audio subs and Kenwood HU to follow shortly.

First time owning a Toyota so far so good. Needed guidance so I researched the net and found this site. Im from northern california. I have a 2008 d-cab black tundra 5.7 4x4. I just installed the bull bar and the nerf bars a few weeks ago and got my rims last week. Ive had this truck for more than a year but I barely used it, just got back from Southeast Asia and now slowly upgrading my baby. Hopefully people here are nice and helpful because I will have questions. Being I have the need to install things myself.

Hello all,
Picked up my new 2010 Tundra, double cab 5.7L 2WD yesterday. Black outside, beige inside, bench front seat (need to seat 6 once in a while). Very happy

Not new to Tundra, owned a 2001 double cab, loved it, then traded it in for a 2007 Lexus ES350. Good car, but went back to a truck for many reasons that are now obvious.

By Saturday, the bed liner, step bars, and seat covers will be installed. Ordered the toneau cover but it will take a few weeks to get in. Future also includes a 6" bazooka sub (bta6100 under the rear bench), alarm, tints, and k&n intake.

Will be researching the following, and any comments are appreciated.
All weather floor liners, incl covering the middle hump on the front (since I have a bench front seat)
Rims / tires (scared of the shimmys on aftermarket stuff...)

Cheers, Alex

Hey - new user and new tundra owner. Picked up my 2010 silver Dcab 4x2 yeaterday with 335 miles on the odometer, and the center console with black interior. I have owned two tacomas in the past, and just came back to toyota after a stint with an F150. Looking forward to getting started on some mods - painted door handles and color match grill suround, leveling kit and 33's in the future.
