Hi all,
Just found this forum. I've had my Tundra for about three months now. 2010 Double cab Tundra Limited. First thing I did was slap a Volant CAI in her. Man she sounds aggressive now! Plan on putting on an aftermarket cat back exhaust. Been looking at Magnaflow, flowmaster, and Gibson. Any input on any of those or others are welcome!!! Will post pics in the photos thread.

Hey Toyota guys!
I have always been a BIg Three guy and currently drive a 2004 RAm 1500 QC with the hemi motor and a 7" lift. It has been a fantastic truck with absolutely no problems in 160k miles. I am considering buying a Tundra for the Crewmax, but know nothing about them. I drive a heck of a lot across Texas for my job so longevity has to be there. Currently I am looking at a 2010 4.6 Crew for the mileage, or a diesel from ford or dodge. I know they are completely different trucks, but I know the diesels tend to hold value and last longer than gas motor trucks. I am not saying gas motors don't hold up, just saying that diesls have a better repo in that area. Anyway, all info would be appreciated and I a looking forward to learning about the Tundras.

TXLandman,
I have had my Tundra for about three months. It is the best truck I have ever owned. My grandmother turned me on to them. She is a 70 year old retired GM autoworker. She has owned 3/4 ton trucks her entire life, and her exact words were, "this is the best truck I have ever driven". I second her comment and believe the big three have a lot to learn about what Toyota is doing with their trucks. There is a lot to be said about a 1/2 class pickup that can hold its own against the 3/4 ton class. Take one for a test drive if you haven't already, you won't be disappointed. As for the diesel comments, I agree with you, but Toyota hasn't emerged into the diesel engine market yet, maybe someday. Although with diesel prices the way they are, I wouldn't be surprised to see those market values decreasing if fuel prices stay where they are. Good luck in your search.

Hello new member, just got a 2010 Tundra DC SR5. Lifted it with a 3/1 Ready Lift w/325.60.18 Nitto TG on XD Series machined Hoss rims. First Tundra for me and this thing is great.

Hey all, sweet forum so far! My name is Craig and have owned my 2010 doublecap 4x4 5.7L for almost 2 months now and absolutely love it. Always drooled over these trucks when I saw them on the road and am glad to say they drive even better than I had imagined! Kept it stock for about 2 weeks before installing a LineX bed liner, Procomp 6" lift with 35" BFG A/T ko's. Was afraid it may be too big for my daily driver but its not, am glad I didnt go with the 3" or leveling kit. Taken it offroad a few times, it really just glides over about anything .

Hey,new member here just signed up, found this site looking for some navigation help.I live in so.Florida and have had my tundra for 1 year now. I purchused a 2008 SR5 and did some cool stuff to it right out of the shoot. It came with pretty much everything but leather, you know bluetooth stuff and the nav w/ backup cam. Its Black and had grey cloth when I got it,I had them install black leather which really came out great with the grey center console and the grey carpet.
I also had them install;
Bolera dual exhaust
22" black. rims with alum.edge ( MKW )
black side step.
changed the door handles to painted black like the back door handle
had TRD high performance brakes installed
K&N cold air intake and
TRD supercharger installed,
Truck is awesome to drive, sounds great with the whistle from the supercharger and dual exhaust and oh yea, it freaking flies.Over 500hp and counting. Mustangs,Corvettes,Camaros none of them stand a chance.
Right now im looking to up grade the Nav.system to a newer version is out I think its 9.1 cost $190 on line. Is there another option.I can buy a Garmin for 100. paid all this money for a Nav. sys. and we have to pay for a upgrade.BS. Thanx, nice to meet all of you.

Hey All,
I am from Huntsville, AL. and recently bought my first Toyota Tundra 07 Maroon ext cab, 5.7, TRD, Pioneer AVIC-F90bt, 20% tint, backup camera, bull bar. I like the truck but I am having trouble, and wondering if I am alone. My clock lost it's mind, then the transmission started acting up. Toyota replaced those 2 items under warranty. Later the blinkers and sequential shifter stopped working, and the voltmeter looked wrong. Ran diagnostic, and found the Alternator was bad. $1092.00 later I am back on the road and glad I bought the extended warranty, but with all these major problems the reliability of the vehicle is now in question. The local Toy. dealer did not stock the Alt. as they said they had never replaced one before. The replacement unit arrived not working so the truck was at the dealer for a week. BTW, blinkers and SS failing was caused by the computer going into "Limp mode" due to low voltages. Now my question....is anyone else having trouble?
Thanks,
Jeff
