Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Tundra Owners Introduce Yourself He
Hey:
I'm pretty excited about my Tundra being built today (hopefully on schedule) and just around the corner from being "railroaded" to NC. I ordered an SR5 Double Cab, Long bed with 5.7 V8 in Nautica Blue and tan cloth interior, buncha options including nav system with backup monitor. (My peripheral vision sucks (old age) so backing up to a trailer is getting harder.)
Any words of advice when I take delivery of this baby? I've been a Ford diesel owner for years but have grown disenchanted wityh FMC and want to give Toyo a try in the truck. My wife is on her second Highlander and loves it. Den'sTun

Got my new 07 Tundra CrewMax TRD a couple weeks ago and could not be happier with it. I previously drove a 98 Chevy S10 ZR2 so this truck is quite a change due to size and power. The 5.7 and 6 speed are tremendous. Getting 16 mpg - mix of city and highway but expect this to get better with more miles on it. I really enjoy this site and will post more about my truck at a later time.

Picked up mine on Monday 7/9/07. Ordered a silver, they scratched it before shipping, told me to wait another 2 weeks. The dealer found a blue streak 100 miles away and got it for me. See sig for model.

Greetings!
Just traded in my 2000 4x4 SR5 Access Cab (263,000 repair free miles) for a 2007 4x4 SR5 Standard Cab Long Bed w/5.7 (39 repair free miles) . I use my truck to do delivery workout out of a 17ft v-nose trailer. The 2000 did ok with pulling the trailer up and down the hills between Cedar City and St George. The 2007 with that 5.7 doesn't know it has a trailer behind it. In order to break in the engine, before I towed a trailer, I did a weekend turn around to Denver and averaged a whopping 19.5 miles per gallon running between 70 and 75 mph. My average mph pulling the trailer with the 2007 has gone up 2.5 mpg over the 2000. Factor in the monthly savings on fuel, my new truck is costing me about $45 a week. Everybody say it with me..."Thank You Toyota!"
