Hey everybody,
Just got my new truck last week and I love it! What I've read elsewhere is absolutely true...it's a real head turner.

I bought this truck from Dianne Whitmire and Linda Tulley at Toyota of San Juan Capistrano, they had the truck I wanted on their lot and blew away every other dealer I had talked to before them. I even got a fair price for my trade-in. If you live in Southern (or Northern!) California, Arizona or Nevada make sure you give them a call before you buy.

Anyway, here it is:

I've been a member for a while, back when I bought my '03 SR5 TRD 2wd. I sold it 3 years ago when I move to CO (resale on 2wd trucks sucks up here), but I'm back in the fold with my new 07 DC Ltd 4x4, loaded to the gills. Black w/ Nav, 20" factory rims, the works. No TRD this time, but I'll be lifting it at some point anyway.

Love the new truck, loved the old truck.

Still to Come: Headers? Speaker/Sub upgrades? What else? Supercharger........? I'm sure I'll think of something.

I'm new to the board but I've been lurking about for a month or two. During my college years I owned a 1974 Toyota FJ40. I put a Chevy 350, 4 bolt main in it and kept it until I got married. My wife didn't like the wind noise (soft top) so I bought my first new truck, the redesigned Chevy K1500 back in 1988. I still have it. It has been remarkably dependable. I also spent about four years rebuilding a 1987 Chevy Blazer for my teenage son. Sounds like I'm Chevy all the way, but that's not the case. I've been waiting for Toyota to introduce a full size truck for many, many years. Toyota's time has come...

Last week I ordered a Tundra, 4x4, 5.7L, reg cab, short bed. I guess that's the hot rod coming out in me! I really enjoy this forum. I live near New Orleans.

Hi Everybody, just picked up my first new truck, a 2007 Tundra double cab 5.7 TRD in Salsa Pearl. I am enjoying every bit and I can't wait to drive it more. There are multiple things to do from figuring out the shiftronic thing to programming the bluetooth. I'm aslo anxious to tow my trailer and see how she does. I traded in my 96 suburbon with a 454. My family was diehard Ford/American forever, but when my father traded in his F350 Turbo Diesel for the same model Tundra, I knew it was a good bet. Granted I beet him in cost by about 3K

Big fan and loyal toyota owner, New to this sight, and new to my 07 DC 4X4 5.7L. SR5, I love this truck. I am looking for some parts, IE grille guard, bed cover, window vents. But the real reason i came to the sight was the XM radio tuner I need to buy, I've looked around but other then Toyota's brand, kinda lost. Anybody got sights or suggestions let me know, you'd be helping me out alot.

I finally did it. I bought a foreign nameplate for myself. I have been driving domestics since I started driving 16 years ago. I drove the competitors back to back and ended up buying a Tundra even with the lure of an A-Plan (Ford's employee/supplier pricing program which is cheaper than invoice) deal. I spent more for the Tundra and am happy that I did. I guess the Toyota marketing gurus were successful in converting another diehard domestic owner and making them see the light.

I bought a 2007 Tundra SR5 DC with the 5.7 in Slate Metallic. I considered the Nautical Blue as well. So far, I am very pleased with it and towing is a breeze.

Well, I have been reading this site for the past few weeks and I finally took the plunge. I ordered my 07 DC Slate Metallic w/ 5.7. Now I have to play the waiting game. Dealer says it could be here at the end of the month or it could be early July.

I just joined the forum. I 'am a long time Toyota owner. Just got my 2007 Tundra Crewmax Limited 4WD about two weeks ago. Dealer had to order it and he said I was lucky that they happened to find one like I wanted and I only had to wait 4 weeks after I ordered it to get it. Mine is black with graphite interior, 5.7L, TRD off road, TRD performance dual exhaust, moonroof, backup camera, park pilot, cold kit, mud flaps, fender flares and chrome steps. So far I love it. I haven't towed anything with it yet but I do have a 25 foot pontoon that I towed with my 2000 Tundra and I don't think I'll have any problem towing it with the 2007.

Registered a long time ago....been look at Tundras for years...but I still have my Mazda 6s wagon...post often here: Mazda6club.com

I just wanted to get rid of the "You've never posted before" message.

When/if the accountant lets me get a truck, I'll actually have something to post!

Thanks to all!

Hello,
Just got an 07 Tundra after unloading an 03 F250 diesel with only 26K miles. Ford customer service on the 6.0 diesel leaves a lot to be desired. Returned to Toyota for the 07 Tundra becasue I need a truck that will work. Mine is a double cab SR5 TRD with the 5.7. I am hoping that the TOJO reliability from past Toyota ownerships is still there.

Hello. New member here. I just got my new crewmax tundra and I am super happy with it. I got the 5.7 4X2 SR5 with the TRD package.
Does anybody have a good aftermarket billet or mesh grill replacement, especially one that will replace the upper black plastic strip. I am hoping to get one that is not a simple cover of the stock grill but one that will replace the plastic grill. When I pop the hood it looks like the whole grill can easily be removed. I am sure it wouldn't be cheap but I hope someone comes out with an aftermarket replacement soon. With a clean Billet or mesh grill, all the badges removed and front window tint I will have one killer looking truck. Also on a completely different topic: any tips to remove the stock JBL 6 disk, not to replace but I need to plug in an pod adapter that will charge my ipod and allow me to use my steering wheel controls to skip songs. It will also display info on headunit!
$80.00 from grom auto. I haven't installed it yet so I cannot say how well it works. It looks like a really simple install except for getting to the back of the stock stereo. Any tips on how to get the stock unit out without scratching it up would be greatly appreciated!

NEW to TS! - Have searched for info on the TRD DUAL EXHAUST for my 07 Tundra 5.7 TRD DC - I know it sounds btchn' - any advice on Performance / Mileage differences? I pull a small toy hauler (6,000 lbs) in hilly terrain at elevations 4,000 - 7,000 + feet. Is the stock TRD exhaust on the 5.7 better for towing? What are the tradeoffs vs advantages from someone who knows before I drop $1000+ for the factory TRD Dual setup? THANKS!!!
