Just bought a tundra 2008 crewmax. Love it.
Bought it because I wanted to take my family RVing.
Any advice?
I also need some better towing mirrors, yet that look good. Any suggestions?

Hello all! My name is Octavio and I'm the proud new owner of a 2009 Silver Tundra DC. This is my 2nd Tundra(had a 2006 lease end recently). Hope the 2009 is as good if not better than the 2006. I probably should've posted here first, but I guess it's never too late.
overcomer1,
Not Tundra specific, but I can recommend Bahia Honda State Park in the FK Keys as my favorite campground. Great place to haul a camper! Very family oriented unlike Key West.

Hi Folks
I am Brent, recently the pround owner of a new Tundra crewmax. This is my 3rd tundra since 2000. I stumbled across the site as a result of doing a "Armor lid vs Undercover" search since I was so undecided. I am more or less the kind of user who is likely to be looking for info and probably not very helpful in providing much mechanical support although I will certainly try. With the economy the way it is, I just may have to attempt to do some things I would normally pay to get done. That is why I joined this site. By the way, I went with the Armor lid based on price only.
Brent

As an 04 Tundra owner, I have checked this out a lot as a non member and it has been a great resource. I have a 95 Camry (my son is driving) and I have put a lot of work into that but this feels like a whole different thing. I hate paying to have my stuff fixed and sometimes I am in way over my head. It seems Toyota is still a relatively user friendly vehicle for repairs, provided you have some knowledge. Mine is limited but hopefully I can dish out some help and not just beg for tips. Having said that, my brakes went soft just a few days ago. Pads are fine, no gradual onset. Brakes work but go almost to the floor. Fluid levels are fine, can't find any leaks. I used the diagnostic info in the Chilton's I have for my 95 Camry and it didn't really fit anything. Seems like a booster problem. Any clear way to determine what's up? Does it make sense to do both booster and master cylinder? I see where some service bulletins were posted but mine is not in that. Any help would be appreciated.

There are forums specific to Brakes and to the Camry. I'd advise to search or post in those forums, and good luck -- you need good brakes allright. Based on your own diagnosis, sounds like power brake booster to me too. No warning lights flashing? I'd look for vacuum lines off, that kind of thing, it might be a simple fix. But you do have yourself a 14 year old vehicle. . .

I just got my 07 Tundra back from the dealer. 7,800mi. Wanted oil and filter change. But they needed to put a new serpentine belt on it. Didn't think about it too much at first then read someone on this site had to get a new belt at low mileage also. Is there something I don't know? I mean I know almost nothing about truck guts, but at my age this will probably be my last pick up and I'd like to know if this is a common problem with Tundras.
Thanks

Hi everyone! I just recently traded my 2007 Scion tC in for a 2008 Toyota Tundra Crewmax SR5 Slate Metallic 5.7L with black cloth interior. Decided to join the site after browsing it for the past few days. The site looks great and a lot of helpful threads.

Hello everybody,
I live on a farm in South Georgia, and am currently going to school for a Nursing degree. I am really interested in the 07+ Tundra for farm duties and doubling as a daily driver. I want to thank you guys for welcoming me here. Y'all take care.
